The Thirty-Second Infantry, alternatively recognized as the Bleeding Roughnecks, comprised an infantry contingent of at least 405 members within the Rebel Alliance's military. The unit suffered total destruction by 3 ABY, resulting in four hundred deaths and only five individuals surviving, one of whom was Maximian Ajax. Following this event, Ajax was transferred to the 61st Mobile Infantry, but he kept wearing the "Bleeding Roughneck" badge of the Thirty-Second until his demise during a raid. At Ajax's funeral, a fellow soldier known as Twitch declared "Bleeding Roughneck until the end," as his single-line tribute.
Alexander Freed referenced the Thirty-Second Infantry in his 2015 novel, Battlefront: Twilight Company.
