The Tide of Progress XII, a Munificent-class star frigate, served actively within the Confederacy of Independent Systems' naval forces during the Clone Wars. During the period between 22 BBY and 19 BBY, this frigate found itself positioned above a celestial body characterized by orange clouds, where it engaged an adversary in naval combat. Furthermore, this vessel participated in the Battle of Crombach Nebula, where the Jedi Master Wom-Nii Gnaden met his death by crashing into the frigate, leaving an impact mark.
The Tide of Progress XII, being a _Munificent-class star frigate, was designed for naval combat roles. With dimensions of 825 meters (equivalent to 2,706 foot and 8 inches) in length, 426 meters (1,397 foot, 8 inches) in width, and 243 meters (797 foot, 3 inches) in height, this warship featured a command bridge situated in its forward section, accessible via a turbolift shaft. Propulsion was achieved through seven ion drive thrusters, which were protected by the hull of the frigate. This hull extended above and below the engines, providing a physical shield that guarded the thrusters from all directions except directly from the rear.
The frigate's armament included two long-range heavy ion cannons, two slow-moving heavy turbolaser cannons, twenty-six twin turbolaser turrets, twenty light turbolaser turrets, and thirty-eight point-defense guns. Powering the Munificent were multiple energy cells and power cells, along with twin main reactors mounted on the port and starboard sides. These reactors had the capacity to consume up to 2,300 tons of fuel every second. Notably, one reactor could remain operational even if the other was damaged and rendered unusable.
Equipped with sensory antennas on its rear vertical strut, the Tide of Progress XII monitored fleet perimeters using high-performance sensors along its dorsal surface, capable of reaching distances of several light-days. It also possessed several hyperdrive generators, power trunks, a stern ray shield generator to deflect energy blasts, a stern neutrino radiator and shield heat sinks, and a pair of long-range hyperwave transceiver masts for coordinating communications across the galaxy.
The frigate incorporated multiple power feeds, ventral superdense reactant tanks, inertial compensators, and tensor field generators that maintained the warship's structural integrity along its longitudinal spines, along with five starboard-mounted docking rings. The Tide of Progress XII had the capacity to carry up to 150,000 battle droids. For ship-to-ship engagements, the Munificent could deploy up to forty-eight Vulture-class droid starfighters, organized into four squadrons. The emblem of the Confederacy of Independent Systems was prominently displayed on the Munificent's starboard hull.
The Tide of Progress XII, constructed by Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc., actively participated in the Clone Wars as part of the navy of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, fighting against the Galactic Republic between 22 BBY and 19 BBY. At one point during the war, the frigate was stationed in the skies of an orange-clouded planet. It engaged in combat with an enemy, firing its heavy turbolasers while sustaining damage to its hull. On another occasion, the Tide of Progress XII was involved in the Battle of Crombach Nebula against the Jedi Order. During this battle, Jedi Master [Wom-Nii Gnaden](/article/wom-nii_gnaden] flew his NTB-630 naval bomber into the frigate, resulting in his death and leaving a visible impact mark on the frigate's starboard hull that persisted throughout the war.

The Tide of Progress XII made its debut as an unnamed warship within the current Star Wars canon in the 2018 reference publication, Star Wars: Complete Vehicles. This appearance consisted of content that was re-printed from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections, a 2005 reference work penned by Curtis Saxton, which also marked the introduction of the ship within the Star Wars Legends continuity. The ship's designation was subsequently incorporated into canon through an article titled "Conquer the Galaxy," published on the official website of Fantasy Flight Games. This article served as the announcement for the Separatist Alliance Fleet Starter supplement designed for the Star Wars: Armada miniatures game. The article was released on July 31, 2020, with the supplement pack following on December 4 of the same year.
