Toborro

Toborro was a criminal overlord of the Hutt species who existed throughout the Cold War period and the subsequent Galactic War.

Biography

At some point in his life, Toborro suffered the loss of his left arm as well as one of the fingers on his right hand. Despite these injuries, he ascended to a prominent position within the Hutt Cartel, ultimately achieving the rank of Supreme Mogul. He took over from Karagga the Unyielding, who met his end during the battle_of_karagga's_palace that took place a year prior on Nal Hutta. As the new leader, Toborro exhibited paranoia and ruthlessness, showing no patience for failure among his subordinates and constantly suspecting betrayal from his allies.

Toborro considered it his right and destiny to establish the Hutt Cartel as a major power, intending to eliminate both the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, viewing them as inferior factions fit only for enslavement. His campaign was planned to begin on Makeb, an independent planet situated on the boundary between Hutt Space and the Galactic Republic. Makeb was the sole source of isotope-5 in the galaxy, a scarce mineral with extraordinary gravity-manipulating capabilities that could be used as a power source, even in small amounts. To achieve his goals, he secured the allegiance of the InterStellar Regulators, the mercenary force employed by Makeb for defense, with the intention to conquer the planet. Toborro personally oversaw these operations from Toborro's Palace located on the planet's surface, and he was willing to order the extermination of Makeb's entire population to fulfill his ambitions.

Understanding that the deep-core drilling would inevitably lead to Makeb's destruction, Toborro initiated "Project Failsafe," which involved the construction of a massive starship known as "the Ark," at a mesa called the Giant's Spear. This ship was intended to carry Toborro, his chosen followers, and his entire supply of isotope-5, abandoning Makeb to its impending doom. Special forces of the Republic, acting on the request of Makeb Business Council leader Shalim Avesta and his resistance movement, uncovered the truth about the project at the Hutt Embassy in Talaos City, Makeb's capital. They then moved to seize control of the Ark to evacuate the citizens of Makeb. Following the loss of the Ark and the destruction of a significant portion of the Regulators' arsenal, Toborro unleashed isotope-5 war droids against the city of Tarlam, vowing to massacre the people of Makeb until Avesta and the Republic surrendered the Ark.

Downfall

Recognizing Toborro's descent into madness, the leaders of the Hutt Cartel formally disavowed him and engaged in negotiations with the Republic to escape from Makeb. Now isolated, Avesta demanded that Toborro hand over the isotope-5 fuel rods needed for the Ark to operate. Toborro, in his insanity, proclaimed that he possessed ultimate power, that his fortress would endure Makeb's destruction, and that he alone would remain after his enemies were gone.

Dr. Juvard Illip Oggurobb, Toborro's former chief scientist and engineer, had defected shortly before the other Cartel leaders. He revealed the existence of a secret entrance into Toborro's palace, unknown even to the Hutt leader himself. Republic forces used this secret passage to enter the palace and confronted Toborro in his throne room. The fuel rods were guarded by an advanced isotope-5 droid known as "Toborro's Glittering Fury." Despite the droid's power, the Republic forces managed to destroy it. Enraged, Toborro ignited his entire supply of isotope-5, intending to annihilate himself and his enemies in a single, devastating act. In the end, Toborro perished as his palace collapsed.

Personality and traits

During the conquest_of_makeb of Makeb by the Hutt, Toborro's mental state deteriorated, and he became increasingly paranoid about his leadership. As the invasion neared its conclusion, Toborro began to suspect that the leading figures of the Cartel were plotting to betray him. Due to these suspicions and other events, Toborro completely lost his sanity, a fact that Dr. Oggurobb noted and commented on, even referring to Toborro as an "inbred imbecile" during the planning stages of infiltrating Toborro's Palace.

Before the invasion, Toborro had lost his left arm and a finger on his right hand, replacing them with a prosthetic claw and a prosthetic finger, respectively. He also wore a distinctive piece of clothing around his neck and a red wrap around his right arm, which was unusual attire for Hutts, although not unheard of, as Oruba also wore a cap and a wrap around his torso. Toborro appeared to have dark purple skin and red eyes.
