Biography

Early Life and Seduction to the Dark Side

The Jedi Order discovered Tol Skorr's Force-sensitivity when he was young. Consequently, he was brought to the Coruscant Jedi Temple to be trained in the Force. He progressed through the Temple's academy, successfully completing his Trials of Knighthood and being elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight by the Jedi High Council. He began independent studies, and the High Council dispatched him on numerous missions, where he served the cause of peace and justice. During one such mission, Jedi Skorr faced a brutal group of pirates and was ultimately shot down over Korriban. After his starfighter crashed, he encountered a terrifying Tuk'ata beast. Skorr was injured in the fight, but Jedi Master Dooku arrived and saved him. Humbled, Skorr dedicated his life to the elder Jedi.

In 22 BBY, the Clone Wars began between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Jedi Skorr reported to Coruscant and was promoted to General within the newly formed Grand Army of the Republic. However, when it was revealed that Dooku, now Count of Serenno, led the Separatist movement, Skorr's unwavering loyalty to his rescuer drew him away from the Republic and the Jedi Order. Dooku, secretly the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Tyranus, seduced Skorr to the dark side of the Force. Skorr abandoned the Jedi Order and his role in the war, becoming one of Dooku's Jedi dissidents. He constructed a red-bladed lightsaber, signaling his new allegiance to the High Council. Skorr and Sey competed for Dooku's favor, joining forces to attack Quinlan Vos, a Jedi who appeared to be a turncoat seeking to join Dooku's army. Despite their efforts, Vos outmaneuvered them, and Sora Bulq escorted Vos into Dooku's chambers. Soon after Vos joined Dooku's Dark Acolytes, the group traveled to Tibrin to overthrow the pro-Republic dictator and seize the planet for the Confederacy. Skorr silently watched as Dooku decapitated the planet's ruler, Suribran Tu, with his lightsaber.

Dark Acolyte of the Confederacy

Skorr fights against the Kiffu Guardians alongside Count Dooku.

The group then went to Kiffu, where Dooku confronted Sheyf Tinté Vos in her palace. When Dooku declared his intention to depose the Sheyf, she ordered her guards to capture or kill the assassins. Skorr and the others engaged the Guardians, killing them one by one as they attacked. Competing with Sey to reach the Sheyf first, Vos leaped over them and abducted the old ruler. He killed Sey while fleeing, and Dooku ordered Skorr to eliminate the remaining Guardians while he pursued Vos. After the Sheyf's murder, Dooku sent Skorr and Vos to Korriban to intensify their rivalry. They were tasked with retrieving the Holocron of Heresies, the ancient holocron of Darth Andeddu. As Vos retrieved the artifact, Skorr challenged him for it. During their duel, Skorr encountered the Tuk'ata that had previously scarred him. He evaded the creature and escaped with Vos, but failed to reach Dooku's shuttle. However, Dooku rescued him with the Force. Skorr then waited with Dooku in The Works district on Bakura and later Coruscant, as Vos assassinated Senator Viento for the Confederacy. After receiving Vos' report, Dooku and Skorr departed.

Hunting Quinlan Vos

Skorr once again encounters the Tuk'ata on Korriban.

Fourteen months later, Dooku, dissatisfied with Vos' failures, assigned Skorr to partner with Sith assassin Asajj Ventress to kill Vos. They trapped him aboard the ruined Intergalactic Zoological Society's ship, the Titavian IV, and pitted him against deadly droids. When Vos activated his beacon transceiver, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi located the ship and aided Vos. Ventress' Morp droids led the Jedi into Skorr's trap, and Ventress attacked Kenobi while Skorr defeated Vos. Distracted by a rancor released by Kenobi, the Jedi escaped to the hangar deck, where Vos boarded the Skorp-Ion. As Ventress and Kenobi fought, Skorr piloted a starfighter to chase Vos but was shot down inside the hangar. Ventress and Skorr regrouped as the Jedi escaped. General Grievous responded to their distress beacon, indicating that they would have to answer to Dooku for their failure. Ventress defied Grievous' orders to continue hunting Kenobi and Vos, but Skorr accompanied the cyborg to report to Dooku.

Final battle and death at the hands of Quinlan Vos

Tol Skorr is killed by Quinlan Vos.

Near the end of the war, Skorr accompanied Dooku to Saleucami to oversee the development of a Morgukai Shadow Army by the Anzat Rath Kelkko. As the Confederacy began its siege of the planet, Skorr met with Khaleen Hentz, Vos' lover, in the planet's seedy areas. He attempted to create conflict between Hentz and Vos by briefly strangling her with the Force. Skorr led Morgukai forces against the Republic, encountering Vos on the battlefield and leading him into a cave. There, they met with Dooku and Bulq in the underground labs of the Anzati. Dooku assigned Vos to hunt Jedi Master Tholme, who had sabotaged the Morgukai project, while Skorr continued leading the armies on the surface. Operating under the call name Red Tide, Skorr gave the all clear to Bulq to assassinate Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis, the Republic's leader on the planet. As Bulq murdered Rancisis, Skorr battled Jedi K'Kruhk, Sian Jeisel, and A'Sharad Hett to create suspicion that Vos had killed the Thisspiasian Jedi Master.

As the battle raged, Vos reported Tholme's death to Dooku, believing he had caused it. Dooku tested Vos' allegiance by asking him to kill Hentz, whom Skorr had brought to the underground facility. Vos refused, disavowing his allegiance to Dooku and attacking Bulq, Skorr, and the Morgukai guards. Joined by Tholme, who had survived the duel with Vos, Vos battled Skorr into a chamber overlooking a lava pit. As Skorr taunted Vos about the "Second Sith," a being Skorr claimed Dooku invented to control Vos, Vos became enraged and knocked Skorr's lightsaber away. Defeated, Skorr stood on the cliff above the lava pit, and Vos pushed him over the edge to his death.

Personality and traits

Tol Skorr quickly abandoned his Jedi oaths when Dooku rescued him on Korriban during the Clone Wars. He displayed extreme loyalty to Dooku, unquestioningly following his orders. Eager to gain Dooku's favor, Skorr participated in Dooku's schemes to pit his acolytes against each other, competing with Kadrian Sey and Quinlan Vos.

Powers and abilities

Tol Skorr, a fully trained Jedi Knight, possessed great strength in the Force and skill in wielding its power. His years of Jedi training made him proficient in unarmed combat, melee weaponry, and at least six forms of lightsaber combat, mastering one before his Jedi Trials. After falling to the dark side, Dooku taught him forbidden techniques, including Force Choke. While not as skilled as Sora Bulq or Asajj Ventress, Dooku considered Skorr a valuable operative. Tholme identified Skorr as a major threat to Vos' infiltration of Dooku's inner circle. Skorr and Vos became bitter rivals, constantly vying for Dooku's attention, leading to numerous confrontations. The advantage shifted between them, but Vos ultimately overpowered Skorr with his rage. Skorr survived two encounters with a Sith Hound, a feat impressive even for a Force-sensitive individual.

Despite training in piloting, Skorr showed weakness as a pilot, being shot down over Korriban and in the Titavian IV's hangar by pirates and Quinlan Vos, respectively.
