Torve was a lieutenant in the Republic Army, specifically the commanding officer of the Deadeyes, a sniper [squad](/article/squad/legends]; he was a male human. Previously, he served as the executive officer to Aric Jorgan.
While on Tatooine, the CO of Havoc Squad and Jorgan discovered Torve and two other members of the Deadeyes held in an Imperial work camp. Jorgan introduced his commanding officer to Torve and immediately pressed him for details regarding his capture. Torve was puzzled, questioning whether Jorgan had received a briefing from Senior Agent Zane. After it became clear that Jorgan was unaware of their assignment, Torve initially declined to speak, but eventually gave in after being reminded that he was in need of rescue. Torve revealed that the Deadeyes had been fitted with tracking devices and deliberately allowed themselves to be taken prisoner to gather intelligence on the Imperial penal system. Their understanding was that the SIS intended for the Imperials to transfer them to facilities holding prisoners of war, after which SIS would conduct a rescue operation for them and their fellow captives. However, they had not foreseen being separated and had been waiting for SIS to extract them, a situation that infuriated Jorgan as the SIS had not held up their end of the bargain. Torve justified their actions by emphasizing the need to rescue the imprisoned Republic soldiers, but his former XO countered by pointing out the risk of execution by the Imperials that the Deadeyes faced. Subsequently, Jorgan requested a formal extraction.
Later, Torve reached out to Jorgan once more to express his gratitude for the rescue and to convey his growing concern for the safety of the remaining Deadeyes. He communicated to Jorgan that he was eagerly awaiting Havoc Squad's arrival to locate them.
