Crabs known as "trash crabs" were a crab species akin to hermit crabs. They inhabited the planet of Lanupa, where they functioned as scavengers, adorning themselves with discarded technological components. These trash crabs possessed a rudimentary form of communication, facilitated through the technology they collected. Wim, a human, interpreted this ability as an indication of sentience. Tet'niss was a particularly large individual of this species. The trash crabs bore a resemblance to the scrap crabs found on Trionak, a planet situated in the Outer Rim.
