"Trick-or-Treat" is a short LEGO animated film, considered non-canon, that was released online as part of the LEGO STAR WARS: Celebrate the Season webseries on September 15, 2021.
The Mandalorian is on a quest, going from door to door in Moff Gideon's light cruiser searching for Grogu, but he discovers something unexpected. Stormtroopers are celebrating by giving out Halloween candy. Can the Mandalorian successfully locate Grogu amidst these Halloween celebrations?
The short begins with the Slave I in pursuit of Din Djarin's stolen Lambda-class shuttle as it travels through space. While the Slave I is engaged in combat with TIE fighters, Djarin pilots the shuttle directly into the launch tube at the front of Moff Gideon's light cruiser. He exits the ship, carrying a blaster.
Djarin proceeds toward the detention area, where he comes across a stormtrooper. The stormtrooper offers him a Halloween pumpkin filled with candy before retreating back into its cell. Djarin then goes to a second cell and finds a group of stormtroopers having a party, dressed as pirates. After accepting some candy, Djarin moves on to a third cell, where he finds Moff Gideon and Grogu inside.
Djarin throws the pumpkin and its contents at Gideon. Before Djarin can save Grogu, Gideon retaliates using the Darksaber. Grogu eats the candy as the two adults engage in combat. Djarin defends himself using his beskar spear. Gideon escapes behind a closing blast door, narrowly dodging Djarin's spear.
Djarin goes back to Grogu's cell, where Grogu has consumed almost all of the candy. Grogu is happy to see him, but is also looking at the last piece of candy, before letting out a burp. Djarin sighs in the background.
