A beskar spear was used by the Magistrate, also known as Morgan Elsbeth, on the planet Corvus during the time period of the New Republic Era. This staff was constructed from pure beskar, a metal alloy deeply connected to Mandalorian traditions.
Sometime between 9 BBY and 2 BBY, Elsbeth utilized the spear both for self-defense and in combat against the Noghri assassin named Rukh, ultimately defeating him.
Following the collapse of the Galactic Empire, in the period between 5 ABY and 9 ABY, Nadura, the New Republic Ambassador, journeyed to Corvus with the intention of persuading the planet to join the Senate. After a tense disagreement where Morgan declined to join the Senate or surrender, she instructed her guards to eliminate Nadura and her delegation, personally killing one of them with the spear.
By 9 ABY, Morgan employed the spear in a battle against Ahsoka Tano, who was Force-sensitive and a former Jedi. However, Tano defeated her. Tano then presented the staff to the Mandalorian Din Djarin. The staff demonstrated sufficient resilience to withstand and deflect strikes from a lightsaber and remained undamaged after the destruction of the Razor Crest. After the Razor Crest was destroyed, Din Djarin used it during Grogu's second rescue, where he obliterated one dark trooper and fought Moff Gideon in lightsaber combat, leading to Gideon's loss and capture.
When Djarin encountered the remaining members of the Tribe on Glavis Ringworld, the Armorer explained that beskar was intended only for armor, not weapons, because the spear could penetrate Mandalorian armor. Djarin instructed her to melt down the spear and reshape the metal into a garment for the foundling Grogu.
