TS-4068 was a male human who fought for the Imperial Army during the Galactic Civil War, a conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. By the Battle of Hoth, which occurred at a specific time, TS-4068 held the military rank of captain within the 501st Legion's Blizzard Force and participated in the Hoth campaign. Following their drop from the AT-ATs, he commanded his troops in a ground-based infantry attack on the rebel base.

Biography

During the [Galactic Civil War](/article/galactic_civil_war], the Galactic Empire's army included a snowtrooper with the designated number TS-4068, who achieved the rank of captain. In 3 ABY, he took part in the Blizzard Force's ground assault on Echo Base, which served as the Rebel Alliance's hidden base on the icy planet Hoth. TS-4068 commanded a snowtrooper squad aboard Blizzard 1, the personal walker of General Maximilian Veers, who was in charge of the ground assault.

As Blizzard 1 got closer to Echo Base's deflector shield generator, Veers summoned TS-4068 to the walker's command center. Shortly after, the snowtrooper arrived and silently waited for his orders. The general instructed all snowtroopers on Blizzard 1 to leave the walker, and TS-4068 quickly returned to his soldiers, who soon disembarked to engage the opposing rebel ground forces.

Behind the scenes

The stormtrooper character later identified as TS-4068 made his debut in the 1980 motion picture Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, which was directed by Irvin Kershner. An uncredited extra portrayed him. TS-4068's identity was later revealed in the short story "The Truest Duty," penned by Christie Golden and included in the 2020 collection of short stories titled From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back.
