Blizzard 1, also known as Blizzard One, functioned as the personal All Terrain Armored Transport of General Maximilian Veers during the Battle of Hoth, as a component of the Blizzard Force formation. Veers, acting as vehicle commander, spearheaded the Imperial attack on Echo Base—the Rebel Alliance's Hoth base—from within the cockpit of Blizzard 1. Despite the general's AT-AT successfully obliterating the large shield generator providing power to Echo Base, Blizzard 1 suffered a catastrophic cockpit breach when a T-47 airspeeder, piloted by Rebel pilot Derek Klivian alongside tailgunner Kesin Ommis, collided with it; Veers survived, albeit with serious injuries.
