A technician specializing in droids plied their trade on the planet of Kijimi, situated in the Mid Rim, throughout the Imperial Era. Eventually, they found themselves indebted to the human Lando Calrissian. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Calrissian leveraged this past obligation, threatening the droid mechanic with the removal of Talky's core and its connection to a simulator, subjecting the protocol droid to simulated torment unless he fully healed his friend Lobot, who was a cyborg.
