Unidentified Imperial governor (Madelin Sun)

A governor in the service of the Galactic Empire oversaw a sector that encompassed the planet Antillion. On this world, Sava Madelin Sun, a former student of the University of Bar'leth, engaged in selling goods from approximately 8 BBY to 2 BBY. During this time, the smuggler known as Han Solo informed a group of three stormtroopers about Sun's possession of illicit items, with the intention of searching her home for a specific urn he was after.

Subsequently, the troopers started a rigorous search of Sun's residence and belongings. Feeling that she was being treated unjustly, the former Sava protested their actions, deeming them "outrageous" and stating her intent to report the incident to the governor. After the soldiers found an unlawful artifact, the Stormtrooper Commander present informed Sun that they would need to submit a report to the governor regarding the illegal contraband discovery, a decision which Sun opposed. Almost immediately after, the troopers met their death at the hands of Lady Qi'ra, the leader of the criminal organization Crimson Dawn, and Sun departed with Qi'ra.

Behind the scenes

The Imperial governor character was first introduced in the third issue of the Star Wars: Crimson Reign comic miniseries from 2021. Charles Soule wrote the issue, which Marvel Comics published on March 9, 2022. Before the issue's release, StarWars.com featured the governor in a preview article about the issue on March 2 of that same year. Within the issue, Sun refers to the governor as the "Imperial governor of this sector." Conversely, the third issue of the Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca miniseries from 2022, penned by Marc Guggenheim and released by Marvel on June 29 of that year, depicts the same scene but alters the dialogue to identify the governor as the "Imperial governor for this sector."
