A maintenance droid fulfilled its duties at the Port Haileap outpost throughout the High Republic Era. In approximately 232 BBY, during the High Republic Era, this particular maintenance droid could be found in the vicinity of the starship named Steady Wing. This vessel was preparing to carry a delegation to the dedication ceremony of the Starlight Beacon space station, and the delegation included individuals such as Dalnan Ambassador Weft and representatives from the Jedi Order.
Prior to the ship's departure, Avon Starros, an ambitious inventor and the offspring of Senator Ghirra Starros, pilfered a power crystal from the maintenance droid, with the intention of utilizing it for an experiment. Starros made her getaway with the crystal on a scoot speeder, prompting the droid to pursue her through the spaceport, while simultaneously requesting assistance. Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh employed the Force to bring Starros's speeder to a halt. The droid, clearly annoyed, retrieved its power crystal from Starros and marched back the way it had come.
This maintenance droid was featured in Justina Ireland's 2021 novel, The High Republic: A Test of Courage.
