A modest mountainous settlement situated on the world of Naalol was one of several similar communities, characterized by their askew dwellings and residents who were either valdeer herders, extraction workers, or skilled craftspeople. During the year 4 ABY, it was devastated and turned into a debris field as a result of combat between the forces of the New Republic and the Galactic Empire in the course of the Galactic Civil War.
Following the conclusion of the battle, the remains of combatants from each warring faction lay scattered across the settlement's pathways, while the surviving local people gratefully received warm soup provided by New Republic forces. Chancellor Mon Mothma of the New Republic, accompanied by her assistants Hostis Ij and Auxi Kray Korbin, made a visit to the devastated settlement, deliberating on the path forward for the New Republic military as they observed the destruction.
This mountainous settlement was featured in Chuck Wendig's Aftermath novel, which was released in the year 2015.
