A Rodian, accompanied by his human companion, could be found in a public house situated within the oldest settlement of the planet Dantooine. This occurred circa 381 BBY, coinciding with a visit from Marda Ro, the Evereni originator of a pirate group that would evolve into the Nihil, who was then on a search for others of her species. The pair were seated across the room from Ro, who recognized the human as someone who had knowledge of the Evereni. After approaching their table to quiz the human, the Rodian expressed his surprise with a yelp at Ro's proximity. Upon her inquiry about the location of others like herself, he refused to provide information, a sentiment echoed by his companion.
Subsequently, Ro referenced the Rodian in a message intended for her descendants, which she recorded while remembering her time on Dantooine. By 252 BBY, Marchion Ro, her great-great-grandson, had heard her journal during his youth, including the part where the Rodian was mentioned.
This Rodian character was featured within a flashback sequence in the short story "A Closed Fist Has No Claws," penned by Tessa Gratton. This story was included in the 2023 young-adult anthology titled The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, as part of the broader Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia initiative.
