An abandoned safe haven planet served as the intended crash site for a starship originating from Lesser Space (the region of the galaxy situated beyond the Unknown Regions). The Chiss Syndic Mitth'ras'safis and a human female planned to crash this ship around 27 BBY. Their intention was to land on this world and subsequently share the Galactic Republic technology found inside the starship with the Defense Hierarchy Council of the Chiss Ascendancy. However, the starship's extensive damage prevented them from reaching the intended location, forcing them to crash-land in a stone-filled valley instead.
This planet was referenced within current Star Wars canon in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the concluding book of The Ascendancy Trilogy by Timothy Zahn. The planet's mention alluded to Zahn's Star Wars Legends novel Outbound Flight, released in 2006, which detailed the fate of the Outbound Flight starship. In that Legends continuity novel, the Chiss Syndic Mitth'ras'safis and the Human Jedi Knight Lorana Jinzler had hoped to bring the ship to one of the inhabitable, yet unexplored worlds in the Redoubt star cluster within the Unknown Regions' territory, but the ship's damage made this impossible.
