Unidentified warehouse (Nakadia)

A depot situated on the Expansion Region world of Nakadia served as a storage facility for numerous chemical weapons of mass destruction accumulated by the Galactic Empire throughout the Imperial Age. During the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, also referred to as Twilight Company, onslaught of Nakadia in 3 ABY, repulsorlift vehicles were utilized, carrying these bioweapons, against the company. The bioweapons originating from the depot caused significant losses for Twilight Company; however, they ultimately obliterated the depot and its chemical arsenal near the conclusion of the battle on Nakadia.

Description

Constructed atop the hills of the agricultural Expansion Region planet Nakadia, the warehouse, along with a launch platform, functioned as a storage site for weapons of biological warfare used by the Galactic Empire.

History

During the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, bioweapons produced at the Distillery on the Mid Rim forest planet Coyerti were kept within the Nakadia depot. In 3 ABY, Nakadia's plastoid production facilities became targets in Operation Ringbreaker, an initiative led by the Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, otherwise known as Twilight Company, to take out key objectives in order to compel redeployments from the Kuat Drive Yards for a planned strike against the dockyards. The company's troops landed on Nakadia, unaware that the world was being used to store bioweapons.

Following Twilight Company's nighttime deployment, the Empire launched airspeeders from the depot carrying bioweapons. By spraying these poisons onto the opposing fighters, the speeders were responsible for at least seventeen rebel deaths, including the rebel soldier Maediyu. The initial symptoms of the poison, which included rashes, fever, and visions, were followed by the gradual liquefaction of the soldier's organs, leading to death within days. As a result, First Sergeant Hazram Namir, the acting leader and presumed commander of Twilight Company, led a team of other sentient beings to destroy the depot. Namir, the only homo sapien on the mission, wore a comprehensive set of protective gear himself. The rebels set aflame the depot, completely destroying its contents.
