Urbax was a male Cathar who held a prominent position within the Black Sun crime syndicate. This occurred during the Cold War era, a period of tension between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. Ultimately, he met his death on the planet Coruscant. A smuggler and their associate, Corso Riggs, were responsible, having been contracted by Urbax's long-time associate Skavak to eliminate Miel Muwn, a Sullustan law enforcement officer.
In 3643 BBY, Urbax operated as a Black Sun member within the Galactic Republic's capital city-planet of Coruscant. Skavak, a smuggler and criminal who had a long-standing relationship with Urbax, approached and subsequently employed him to assassinate Miel Muwn. Muwn was a Sullustan Constable Brigade officer who had been pursuing Skavak across the galaxy. Urbax proceeded to a hangar located in the Coruscant Spaceport to confront the lawman. As was standard practice for Black Sun, their interaction was recorded. A smuggler and their partner Corso Riggs, who had arrived on Coruscant in search of Skavak and the smuggler's missing XS stock light freighter, obtained the holorecording of this meeting. This was due to information provided by their informant, Darmas Pollaran, and thus learned of Urbax's deadly assignment.
Upon the arrival of the two outlaws, Urbax's henchmen had already surrounded Muwn in the hangar. Muwn invoked Article 11607 of the Sullustan Criminal Code, deputizing the pair and legally empowering them to assist him. Working together, they successfully eliminated Urbax and his thugs.
Urbax possessed brown fur and orange eyes. He condescendingly referred to Miel Muwn as a "little mouse" and expressed his frustration, questioning whether Muwn was deaf or unintelligent when the Sullustan continued to demand their surrender.
Urbax readily accepted the contract offered by Skavak, his longtime associate. However, he retorted that Skavak had no friends when Skavak referred to them as such, and insisted on receiving payment upfront for the job.
Urbax made his debut in BioWare's 2011 Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. He appeared as a minor antagonist within the Smuggler class storyline on Coruscant.
