Earth
The world known as Earth was a destination offered by the Star Tours travel company sometime in the period between 1 BBY and 0 BBY. Observing it from outer space, it was apparent that oceans dominated the planet's surface, with landmasses making up the remaining portion, and that a white cloud covering surrounded the entire globe. Through the Star Tours travel network, Earth had connections to planets such as Coruscant, Kashyyyk, Naboo, Hoth, Geonosis, and Tatooine. Around the time of 4.3 ABY, Earth also functioned as a connection point for flights heading to Endor, before the Star Tours service was discontinued. It consisted of numerous individual countries, rendering the Intergalactic Passport unusable as a passport valid for entry into any of these countries.
History

Sometime in the timeframe between 1 BBY and 0 BBY, it was known that the interstellar travel company called Star Tours operated regular routes that included Earth, along with Kashyyyk, Tatooine, Coruscant, Naboo, Hoth, and the first Death Star.
Abduction to Urthha
The Galactic Gossip once published a story about a newly married Duros couple, named Etro and Droza Edthatt, who were said to have been kidnapped by Humans and brought to a planet they called Urthha. The language spoken by these Humans necessitated the use of aural synchronizers by the Duros couple in order to understand it. The Duros were brought to a "party," which was an event where Earth Humans, wearing a variety of uniforms, were gathered around containers filled with liquid. During the party, the locals examined the Duros, brought them to a table, and made them eat food that resembled office supplies originating from the Vretha system. After the hostess was insulted by Etro Edthatt stamping the food, he developed collard lesions from eating a potato, which caused the Humans to flee. After being left alone, the Edthatts decided to retreat to the freezer.
For the rest of their time on Urthha, the Edthatts spent their time bouncing on antennas, reading vegetables, and choking books and paintings (which were not as resistant as the objects they were used to). After more than four solar periods of these unusual experiences, the couple was unable to find their way back home or locate any suitable objects to scratch. Fortunately, a young Human, who came by to throw piles of folded paper at the residence, helped them return. After the Edthatts lost to him in a professional-level game of Twister, he assisted them in using a matter catalyst (a common household device on Urthha, known locally as a "blender") to return home.
Indiana Jones

Earth, the home planet of Doctor Indiana Jones, was orbited by at least one moon, possessed a significant quantity of surface water, and had a forest similar to the one found on Endor.
Within the forest lived a tribe of Humans who utilized primitive weapons such as spears, bows, and axes. Following the crash landing of the Millennium Falcon in the forest, and after the tribe members killed Han Solo with arrows, they began referring to Chewbacca as "Sasquatch." One hundred and twenty-six years later, they guided Doctor Jones and Shorty to the remains of the ship.
Other notable locations on the planet included Atlantis, which Jones had visited before his encounter with the Falcon.
The President of the United States
An Earth nation-state leader, holding the title "President of the United States," once declared that, despite the requests of many Earth citizens, his government would not construct a Death Star. While his administration cited budgetary concerns as the reason, officials from the Galactic Empire, in a statement released by Galactic Empire Public Relations, attributed the decision to fear in the face of the Empire's superior military strength. Admiral Conan Antonio Motti stated that the President's cost estimates for the Death Star were "ridiculously" inflated, even for a planet lacking the industrial capabilities of the Empire. Imperial officials also claimed that Earth's assertions of serious flaws in the Death Star's design were exaggerated, and advised "seditious elements within the Imperial Senate" to disregard these claims.
The statement from Galactic Empire Public Relations referred to Earth in a derogatory manner, describing it as "tiny," "aggressive," and "unimaginatively named." Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin was quoted as saying that a "primitive" planet like Earth would only disrupt galactic peace with a Death Star, unlike an "enlightened" leader such as Galactic Emperor Palpatine.
Behind the scenes
The image of Earth used on Disney's website for Star Tours: The Adventures Continue is The Blue Marble, which was created by NASA and represented the most detailed true-color depiction of the entire Earth as of 2002. Although technically set in a galaxy far, far away from the Milky Way galaxy, Earth was featured in some Expanded Universe materials prior to Disney's acquisition. An early example was The Star Wars Intergalactic Passport, which specifically stated that it was not a valid form of identification for international travel within Earth.
The opening text crawl shown during the grand opening of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue at Disney Hollywood Studios mentioned the "Earth system." The name of the system also suggested that the planet's name was Earth, which was later verified on the Star Tours: The Adventures Continue destinations section of the official Disneyland website.
Before the official inclusion of the planet Earth in Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, Earth had also appeared in several works considered non-canon within the Legends continuity.
A planet called Urthha was featured in Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas. This book combined photos and concept art from the original trilogy and other Lucasfilm productions with a series of short fiction pieces, and it contains two notable references to Earth. In one of them, a supermarket tabloid parody attributed to Trebor Uarrac of Galactic Gossip, two Duros newlyweds named Etro and Droza Edthatt are "abducted by human beings" from the planet "Urthha." The story includes a picture of the Edthatts, which was originally a production photo from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The Duros in the original picture were canonically identified as Chachi De Maal and Ohwun De Maal. Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas is not considered part of Star Wars Legends, making these two stories non-canonical in that continuity. No official source has ever explicitly confirmed that Urthha and Earth were the same planet.
Another appearance was in "Into the Great Unknown," a comic story that was published as part of Star Wars Tales 19. "Into the Great Unknown" included Earth, although its name was never explicitly mentioned. It served as a crossover between the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, both of which were not only developed by George Lucas and written by Lucasfilm, but also starred Harrison Ford in a role (as Han Solo and the titular protagonist, respectively). The specific location on the planet was identified as the Pacific Northwest, which in reality was used as the filming location for Endor in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, a connection subtly referenced by Han Solo's comment that the forest he crash-landed in resembled Endor. Furthermore, Chewbacca being called Sasquatch also referenced how Peter Mayhew, the actor who played Chewbacca, had to be accompanied by crew members wearing bright vests while in costume to prevent him from being mistaken for Sasquatch (also known as Bigfoot) by people who happened upon the filming set. The events of the comic, in addition to referencing Star Wars, also contained references to the Indiana Jones franchise. Dr. Jones' mention of Atlantis indicated that the comic took place after the events of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
The most recent extensive appearance of Earth was in the Star Wars Blog post titled "Planet Earth Abandons Death Star Project In Face Of Galactic Imperial Power." This blog article, concerning Earth's decision to abandon plans to create a Death Star, was a response to a statement posted by the actual U.S. White House regarding a petition submitted through the U.S. government's "We the People" petition website, which had received 34,435 signatures. The tongue-in-cheek statement, titled "This Isn't the Petition You're Looking For" (a reference to Obi-Wan Kenobi's famous line "These aren't the droids you're looking for" when using the Mind trick), estimated the cost of constructing a Death Star at $850,000,000,000,000,000 and noted that the administration did not support blowing up planets. At the time, a minimum of 25,000 signatures were required, although this requirement was later increased to 100,000, largely in response to such petitions, which were considered frivolous. The Star Wars Blog staff responded to the White House announcement as if it were an in-universe breaking news report from an Imperial perspective.
