Utapaun monk cudgels were a bronze-colored spiked weapon originating from the planet of Utapau. One such cudgel was showcased in Luthen Rael's gallery, Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest, situated on Coruscant, during the year 5 BBY. He presented it to Senator Mon Mothma as a possible present for her husband, Perrin Fertha, remarking on its value to collectors, but she declined the offer.
From the planet Utapau, the homeworld of the Utai and Pau'an species, came the bronze-colored melee weapon known as Utapaun monk cudgels. These cudgels featured a barrel with spikes on two sides, culminating in a pyramidal head. The handle had a ribbed section near the top, along with a sequence of recessed opalescent squares further down.

By the time of 5 BBY, while ceremonial cudgels were relatively common, genuine articles were scarce enough to be considered precious. In that year, Luthen Rael displayed an authentic cudgel within his gallery located on the planet Coruscant.
When Senator Mon Mothma visited, looking for a gift for her husband, Perrin Fertha, Rael had selected a group of items for her consideration, and this weapon was the most ancient. Aware of Fertha's interest in military items, he put on gloves before handling and presenting the cudgel to her, highlighting its rarity and dating it to the eighth archaic settlement. Mothma, stating her desire to broaden her husband's interests beyond warfare, refused the cudgel, leading Rael to escort her to a backroom to display another item. This was, in reality, a cover for the pair to discuss their alliance against the Empire, the true purpose of Mothma's visit.
The Utapaun monk cudgel made an appearance in "Aldhani," the fourth installment of the Andor television series, which was broadcast on September 28, 2022.
