Vaskus Kayle


Vaskus Kayle, a male private within the Republic Army, fought during the Galactic War. This conflict occurred time between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire. In the year 3640 BBY, Kayle found himself assigned to the squad led by Sergeant Shanra Immel. He served alongside Colonel Jace Malcom of the Republic Special Forces Division in the battle of Kalandis Seven, where he played a role in the destruction of the spaceport controlled by the Imperial–Sith forces there.

Biography

During the era of the Galactic War, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire, Vaskus Kayle, a male private, served in the ranks of the Republic Army. The year 3640 BBY saw Kayle's assignment to Sergeant Shanra Immel's squad, where he fought alongside Colonel Jace Malcom of the Republic Special Forces Division in the battle of Kalandis Seven. As the battle raged, Kayle and his squad received orders to obliterate the local Imperial spaceport on Kalandis Seven. While en route to the spaceport, the squad endured an attack that left Corporal Amden vor Keioidian fatally injured. Despite the loss, Kayle's sergeant activated Keioidian's med tracer and then commanded the squad to press onward, leaving Keioidian behind. After a period of three hours, Kayle and the squad arrived at the spaceport, where they proceeded to place targeting beacons. The spaceport was destroyed shortly after they finished planting the final beacon.

Personality and traits

Shanra Immel characterized Vaskus Kayle as someone with poor marksmanship, an awareness of his limitations, a willingness to follow instructions, and a high likelihood of accidentally poisoning himself due to his inability to properly read labels. Furthermore, Jace Malcolm noted Kayle's skill as a null-racket player, stating that he was capable of playing a formidable game.

Behind the scenes

The initial appearance of Vaskus Kayle occurred in audio form only, within Alexander Freed's short story titled The Last Battle of Colonel Jace Malcom. This story was included in Star Wars Insider 137, which was released on October 23, 2012.
