Venix

The Venix was a starship responsible for making routine deliveries on behalf of Viraxo Industries. Following the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY, Viraxo Industries attempted an act of sabotage against their rival company, the Azzameen-owned shipping firm known as Twin Suns Transport Services. As an act of retribution, Antan Azzameen, who co-owned Twin Suns Transport Services, gave instructions to his niece, Aeron Azzameen. He wanted her to outfit the YT-1300 light freighter named Selu with fabricated transponder codes to make it appear as though the freighter was actually the Venix.

As part of this scheme, Aeron got ready to pilot the Selu, which had been given the new name Venix, to a Viraxo Industries facility positioned in orbit around the planet Denbo. Once there, their intention was for the renamed Venix to offload a Class-L cargo container filled with illicit spice that had been recovered following Viraxo's sabotage of the Azzameen cargo fields. However, the plan ultimately failed, which led to Aeron's brother, Ace, being compelled to obliterate the renamed Selu in order to conceal the Azzameens' involvement in the operation.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of the Venix occurred in the 1999 video game, Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance, which was created by Totally Games.
