Wayfar

Wayfar was a settlement situated on the planet of Tatooine. During the time of the Imperial Era, the Weequay named Quint Cresadde held the position of sheriff in Wayfar.

Description

Located within the Great Chott salt flat area of Tatooine, planet Wayfar began as a simple trading post. It grew over time, eventually featuring homes, utilities, and diverse services. By the year 3 ABY, the town boasted a cantina as well.

History

Prior to the events of 3 ABY, the Weequay pirate, Quint Cresadde, decided to return to her home of Wayfar. She then chose to use her gunslinger abilities for the good of the town and ultimately became Wayfar's sheriff by 3 ABY. The Weequay musician known as Remla Moonis penned the song "Growing Old in Wayfar" while working on his personal album. The bartender at the Bestine Cantina allowed Moonis to include the song on the cantina's jukebox in 3 ABY.

Also in 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess journeyed to Tatooine, landing just outside of Wayfar. She was searching for the Sullustan mercenary named Hoss in connection with a job. Upon asking the sheriff about Hoss, a group of thugs from the Hutt Clan arrived, also seeking Hoss. Cresadde explained that she had apprehended Hoss for robbing Wayfar, but he had managed to escape. Unwilling to depart without something, the thugs harassed the townspeople, leading to a shootout where Vess and Cresadde triumphed over the group. Following the conflict, Cresadde told Vess that Hoss might be hiding near a deserted moisture farm located in the Southern Jundland Wastes.

Later discovering Cresadde's history, Vess sought her assistance to enhance her blaster skills. However, upon returning to Wayfar, they found another group of Hutt Cartel mercenaries approaching. After a quick lesson from Cresadde, the Hutts arrived, and Cresadde and Vess joined forces to successfully defend against the attack.

Vess later received an invitation to play Kessel Sabacc with Cresadde, a Trandoshan called Jurk, and a Quarren named Sillin at a parlor within the town. With a buy-in of 200 credits, Vess emerged victorious, claiming the pot and the necessary materials to apply a "Golden Maru" paint job to her S57 Cardinal speeder bike.

In that same year, Vess managed to locate Remla Moonis in Wayfar for his manager, Aldic Nelleer. She then successfully persuaded him to perform for Jabba Desilijic Tiure at his palace.
