An individual related to Xanak Grunseit, the Falleen Lord, as their cousin, took on the role of leader for the criminal organization known as Black Sun between the years of 3 ABY and 4 ABY. After a death mark was placed upon the Falleen by the Hutts, the cousin hired Boba Fett, a bounty hunter, with the intention of having them eliminated. Grunseit became aware of Fett's acceptance of the contract, but erroneously believed he was in the employ of the Hutts, and consequently, they placed a bounty on the hunter.
On the moon Quantxi, Fett was delivered to Grunseit by T'onga's [crew](/article/t%27onga%27s_crew], another group of bounty hunters. This was part of a scheme orchestrated by Fett to nullify the bounty by killing the Falleen. Following this, Grunseit disclosed to the crew the cousin's position as the head of the syndicate, along with their own ambition to seize control. Once Fett was in close proximity to Grunseit, he revealed that he was employed by the Falleen's cousin and launched a ball of syntox—a neurotoxin that acts rapidly—at Grunseit, resulting in their demise.
The cousin of Xanak Grunseit was referenced within the thirty-sixth issue of Star Wars: Bounty Hunters, a comic series from 2020. This particular issue was penned by Ethan Sacks and released by Marvel Comics on July 12, 2023.
