Description

The Finto Gang was a criminal gang that was led by the counterfeiter Kase Finto and consisted of his four younger brothers and the SE-2 worker droid SE-5, who served as the gang's pilot. The crew were young, impulsive, and restless, which made them dangerous.

History

SE-5 served as pilot for the Finto Gang.

SE-5 served as pilot for the Finto Gang.

Prior to the Battle of Batuu in 34 ABY, Finto and his brothers tried to double cross the antiques dealer Dok-Ondar in the dealer's store in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. At an appointment with the antiques dealer, Finto showed Dok-Ondar a set of rare gemstones from the planet Lothal; however, he then switched the real gemstones with a set of fakes using a specially modified case that deposited the real gemstones into his cloak pocket. Dok-Ondar's assassin droid, BK-86, spotted the switch and drew its blaster on Finto, but the antique dealer tried to persuade the gang leader into handing over the real gemstones and leaving peacefully with his crew. One of Finto's brothers then panicked and shot BK-86 in the shoulder, prompting Dok-Ondar to also pull out his blaster, and in the ensuing shootout both Finto and BK-86 were killed. Finto's four brothers fled, but vowed to seek revenge for their leader's death.

During the First Order occupation of Batuu in 34 ABY, the criminals Bishta and Argin discussed stealing from Dok-Ondar now the assassin droid was gone, but Argin advised against it due to the fate that Kase Finto had met after trying to steal from the antiques dealer. Around the same time, SE-5 had a 675 credit bounty on its head for attempted theft, damage of property belonging to Dok-Ondar, counterfeiting, spaceport property damage, and theft of ship parts and cargo. The droid was discovered hiding out in one of the buildings of Black Spire Outpost by a visitor using a thermal scanner, who reported its location to the local Bounty Hunters' Guild Guildmaster's Hideout.
