The Thirteenth Sister, formerly known as Iskat Akaris, was a Pkorian female Inquisitor of the Galactic Empire who served under Darth Vader. A former Jedi Knight who willingly joined the Inquisitorius, she killed three Jedi on her first hunt. She later accompanied Vader, Fifth Brother, and Tualon Yaluna, to hunt down the former Jedi Master Eeth Koth.
Vader's discovery of her relationship with Yaluna led him to attempt to kill her shortly after their return to the Inquisitorius Headquarters. Yaluna held him off while she escaped, then followed after her. Vader pursued them in a destructive chase across Coruscant until they knocked him down with a speeder. Before the Thirteenth Sister could kill him, Vader froze the couple with the Force and killed them.
Born around 40 BBY, Iskat Akaris served the Jedi Order during the waning years of the Galactic Republic. Iskat was taken in early as a child to the Jedi Order. Her birth species and origin planet were both unknown to the Jedi, a topic that would spark many awkward conversations when asked about her unique species.
She was taken as an Apprentice to Master Sember Vey, one of the order’s most prominent collectors of Jedi texts and scrolls found throughout the Galaxy. Iskat enjoyed her lightsaber training the most and dreaded meditation, but she did notice that it did improve her focus and emotional control. She relished training with Grandmaster Yoda and exploring with younger and more energetic Jedi Knights.
When she was thirteen years old, Iskat had a “column incident” where several other students were injured as she accidentally pulled down a column instead of gentling levitating the lightsaber on top of the column to her hand. Her best friend Tika had been crippled in the back, eventually making her leave the Order. Charlin Plaka and Onielle were always nervous around her from that point onwards, even though their injuries had been very slight. From then on, the Jedi at the Temple always regarded her with suspicion, and her master had always been taking her on missions.
Iskat and her master would spend time traveling throughout the Galaxy and buying texts for the Jedi archives from traders. During one such exchange, Sember asked Iskat to reach out and feel a text, and she replied that it felt dark and urged her to read it. Sember explained that it was not a Jedi but rather a Sith text. Sember warned her that it would not be taken to be studied but rather to keep out of the hands of someone who would use it for dangerous purposes.
After buying it, the master and apprentice traveled to the Core World Bar’leth. Their ship traveled for several days through hyperspace to get to their destination, but when they arrived, a comm signal from Master Mace Windu arrived. Windu ordered them to immediately return to Coruscant, as there was an urgent situation developing and all nonessential missions were canceled. This slightly disappointed Iskat’s master, whose seller Gamodar had claimed to have found something truly special.
Coruscant was not far from Bar’leth, and Iskat noticed that the Temple was especially busy when she got back, as Jedi and droids were scrambling about. Sember had to report to the Council and ordered her apprentice to get some lightsaber training in. She walked into the training room and searched for her friend Tualon Yaluna, a black-skinned Twi’lek. She knew everyone there by name, having been in the same youngling clan. She walked over to Tualon and watched as Fvorn and Charlin sparred. Charlin managed to get one hit and would’ve gotten a killing blow with a backflip if they had been using real blades.
Iskat challenged her after the match, and the two circled each other. Iskat knew that Charlin always waited to strike after her opponent and refused to attack first. She easily parried every one of the Twi’lek’s attacks and toyed with her. After landing a hit on her head, Charlin was officially out, and Onielle, her best friend, stepped in to challenge Iskat. She had also improved the last time Iskat had fought her but was not as graceful. Iskat has been able to pick up someone whispering at her skill, largely due to Vey's insistence that she always sense an object. Upon hearing the spectator’s remark about Tika, Iskat went into a fury of attacks, kicked Onielle in the gut and slashed her across the chest with the training saber. Tualon grabbed her back, and she rushed out of the room, holding back tears.
She walked over to her master's chamber and told her of the duel. Sember offered her advice on how to manager her emotions and then told her that Obi-Wan Kenobi had been captured by the Separatists on Geonosis and that hundreds of Jedi were assembling for the operation. Iskat was taken to the planet in a shuttle piloted by a clone during the First Battle of Geonosis. Inside the vessel was several other Padawans, knights and masters, including Tuolon, and Master Klefan Opus and Master Vey. In total, there were nearly twenty Jedi onboard. Master Opus got out first and contacted Windu, who ordered him to head to the Northwest and take out any cannons he found on the way there. Fvorn, Zeeth, Charlin and Onielle were also with their group as they ascended the tower. A Geonosian ambushed Fvorn with a pike as they moved into a factory room, stabbing him in the back. Dozens of Geonosians swarmed the Jedi, and Iskat slashed through several of them, fully tapping into the force.
Charlin and Onielle expressed concern at how easily she tapped into the slaughter, but Ansho claimed that they might as well stay away from every Jedi if they were afraid of killers. The team moved through the tunnel, realizing that there were countless thousands of Geonosians here. As Mace Windu activated his saber, the entire Jedi task force emerged and began battling the massive droid army. Iskat fought and took down one of the cannons and then made her way into the stands. As the main battle continued in the arena, she moved up the stands towards her master. As she got close, Iskat tried to call out to her, but a Geonosian quickly came up behind her and blasted her in the chest, sending her crashing down several feet. Iskat tossed her blade and decapitated the soldier before running down.
She jumped down and heard her master’s dying words of how Fvorn was so much like her Padawan. After feeling her master pass into the Force, she retreated with Master Opus to the shuttle, where he consoled her on Vey’s death, reminding her of the Jedi Code. On their return to Coruscant, Iskat felt lost. She walked through the Temple Halls before eventually coming to her quarters. There, she noticed that blood from her master still coated her chest. The next day, she was ordered to clean out her master’s bedroom. Iskat felt strangely uncomfortable in the empty room. She found many interesting curios inside, but nothing intrigued her more than a yellow lightsaber. It seemed to be perfectly made for her.
Later, she felt enraged at the funeral of her master, remembering how she was forced to leave her master under the sun. Mace Windu gave the eulogy, but Iskat believed it to be a farce. She would go to Jocasta Nu to ask for help for this Feyra that her master spoke of. Unfortunately, the partially deleted data file stated only that she had left the order some time ago. Jocasta Nu recalled Master Vey having a friend with that name but couldn’t tell her any more info. The next few weeks saw Iskat fall into a routine. Very few people sought her out, since the leadership was so busy with the war. She stumbled into Master Klefan’s path one day and asked if there were any masters or knights looking for apprentices before he cut her off and claimed that he did not have the time to train her. Although, he did say that he would report to the council on her eagerness to contribute. Iskat did not wish to go back to working in the archives but rather wanted to be involved in the war.
The next day she trained with Tualon and his Master, Ansho. Suddenly, the alarms went off, and they went to the courtyard. There, Mace Windu gave a speech about the need for knights, claiming Geonosis fulfilled their Trials. Iskat, Onielle, Zeeth, Charlin, Tualon and Anakin Skywalker were all called up to become knights. After officially becoming Jedi Knights, Iskat was assigned to calming several younglings. She had a short argument with Charlin before Noxi Kell told her that Jocasta Nu would like to speak to her.
The librarian offered her a vocation in the archives, but Iskat refused and said that the Force called her elsewhere. She then sought out Noxi and asked about her homeworld and species. However, Jocasta stepped in and curtly stated that attachment was forbidden. Iskat walked into a garden to clear her mind. A Selonian technician and a mouse droid came in shortly after. They had a quick discussion about the hidden areas of the Library before he left suddenly.
The next morning, she reported to Outfitting to gather her new robes and equipment. She then returned to the courtyard and once again talked with the technician, this time about dark side objects. He introduced himself as Heezo as her comlink ordered her to report to the Jellani Garden. Masters Yoda and Adi Gallia and Josk Nivar stops waiting. Tualon also came to the garden. The masters explained how a Thule droid factory needed to be shut down by the three knights and a company of clone troopers.
On the Nu shuttle, the Jedi went over the plan to establish a base, infiltrate the factory’s data, and sabotage the nearby power station. CT-1123 “Captain Spider” had twenty-seven men in his company, but the Jedi would be doing most of the work. Once they landed on the desolate planet, the clones began unloading cargo. The three Knights explored a cavern nearby where they found an altar. Iskat used her experience with relics to realize it was a Sith Altar but lied to them by saying it was nothing. As they returned to the makeshift camp, she revealed to Tualon her insecurities of her master’s view of her.
Josk yelled at them to get to bed, and as she slept, Iskat had a vision of a girl like her with the yellow lightsaber. She went back to bed, but when she woke again, she was curled up by the crystal altar. She rushed back to avoid any further questions. Captain spider reported to them later about the cannons his scouts had found. Tualon would take a small team inside to slice the data on other factories while the main group of fourteen clones with the other two Jedi would distract the cannons.
While they climbed the canyon, Josk moralized to her about her column accident and her ferocity on Geonosis, claiming he had a calling to help her. She glanced over and saw a slug, perfectly camouflaged into the rock face before realizing that they were all over the canyon. Iskat warned him to watch out for them, before he promptly placed on of his spikes straight through one. Several black birds came out as he did this, slicing up his face and forcing him to let go. He fell down the canyon and landed with a thud. A clone with a medical pack ran over as she continued to climb to compete the mission. She successfully disabled the cannons and climbed back down the canyon wall and asked about Josk’s condition. The clone stated he was dead and that the birds likely had a paralysis venom that had prevented him from landing properly.
The team continued with their mission as Iskat lead the clones to disable the power station. As they moved up the stairs, dozens of droids attacked them and quickly killed the four clones with her. Klaxons rang through the canyon as a fight ensued. Out of the fifteen men sent to the station, only one CT-0528 had survived. Iskat managed to take out the droids immediately in front of her and turned off the alarms. She realized she had to improvise the explosives and overloaded the power grid. Sprinting faster than ever before, she ran through the canyon to the shuttle. The resulting explosions completely annihilated the factory.
As the shuttle took off, she had a brief argument with Captain Spider on the nature of their mission, with him claiming this was supposed to be subtle and Iskat saying that they needed to improvise once their intel was proven wrong. She and Tualon reported to Yoda and Gallia on their mission and of Jask’s death. Yoda and Gallia gave a lesson to the impudent Jedi and told her to control her aggression. They also told her of the dozen civilians that had been killed in the explosion. After they walked out of the meeting, Tualon scolded her for arguing back and insisted she not be so angry.
The next morning, she ran a meditation session with a group of younglings, accidentally messing up one of the lines. She then went to the garden and talked with Heezo about the mission. Heezo talked about how some other Jedi in the past also felt that way. She asked if he had ever seen anyone who looked like her, and Heezo responded by telling of how he had seen a woman with red skin about twenty years ago.
Iskat was then summoned to the Council, where she was essentially given babysitting duty rather than a role on the frontlines. Infuriated, she tried to convince Mace against this idea but to no avail. He ordered her out of the room and sent her to escort Chancellor Palpatine to the chamber. As the man arrived, he took her side on the Thule Mission and listened to her complaints of the Council before he went inside. She settled into a routine of teaching the younglings and talking to Heezo occasionally. She pushed down her resentment and anger but still held envy for those on missions. The other Jedi Iskat interacted with the most was Master Uumay Hawlatha in meditations. She asked the master how he maintained the serenity, but his answer did not help. A few days later, she expressed her frustration to Heezo, and he told her to use her freedom to train. Using the second saber she found, she asked for tips from Ahsoka Tano and tried to find Pong Krell, an extremely skilled warrior, but he was often away. Iskat adventured through Coruscant, training with telekinesis in a construction site.
Two years after the mission to Thule, she was summoned to the High Council chamber with Masters Yoda, Windu, Uumay, and Klefan. After a short discussion, they agreed to send her on a mission as third in command. Iskat was sent with Captain Spider and Tualon to the moon Olgathon 3 to recruit a talented slicer. Several days passed as they travelled out to the moon. Tualon slowly began to become more friendly. They sparred one time, with Iskat easily winning due to her extensive training. As they emerged from hyperspace near the moon, an aggressive male voice ordered them to leave or risk missile attacks. Spider agreed to turn around and flank them from the other side of the moon. However, this still did not work twenty one hours later, and the man still stood firm on the comm. As the team struggled to find a response, Tualon yelled at Iskat as she put the comm on and told the voice at they were looking for Ginntho. Iskat had never seen him act that angrily before.
However, the voice agreed to meet them at a set coordinate point. A plasma shield trapped the team as they landed, but a four armed B-1 battle droid with an Anzellian inside. Ginntho then of her story of running from the Hutts and Banking and agreed to move, warning them of the planet, as a massive beast soon attacked. Iskat quickly sliced open its stomach before it could cause harm. The Anzellan soon returned with her supplies and spoke of Iskat’s species. Shocked, she inquired into these Pkiorians and their planet Pkori. Ginntho said she has visited once and recalled how it was a clannish society out in Wild space that rejected space travel and technology. Iskat quickly looked up the planet on her data pad, finding the same info.
Tualon and Iskat reported the mission’s success to the Council, who were glad to hear of her success in the field. While Mace was sipping tea and reading something, Iskat asked if she could be allowed to have to some personal time off to visit an old trader that her master had wished to purchase a collection from. Mace declined, saying her skills were needed in the war effort. Iskat inquired into a possible Feyra that had been at the Temple, and Mace Windu once again declined to answer. Iskat once again went to vent to Heezo about the mission and it’s reaction to the Masters. He claimed that since she had such strong abilities, she should be able to thrive anywhere.
Later, as she sparred with Master Klefan, Iskat managed to beat the older opponent. As she removed her blades, she just barely managed to defend his backstroke. Klefan spun and used moves that she had never even suspected him to have, revealing a layer of deception as he soundly defeated her. After a mediation session one morning, she was called to the Council Chamber and met with Ki-Adi-Mundi to discuss a mission to Frong, currently under attack from bombing runs, possibly from General Grievous. Tualon and Sunghi, a Jedi from her group whom Iskat disliked, accompanied her, along with Captain Spider.
When they landed on Frong, they found devastated settlements. Deciding they needed to rest, they set up camp. Suddenly, Iskat felt a wave of thousands of Jedi deaths around the galaxy. The clones stood up and immediately fired into Sunghi’s chest. After she died, a hologram appeared and asked if she still questioned the Council and its decision to block her interest to Feyra. She accepted, but Tualon rejected this idea and decided to fight the clones as she boarded the transport.
The clones imprisoned her, first on the shuttle and then on a brig of a ship. Eventually, she was taken to Coruscant to meet the Grand Inquisitor, a Pau'an male. He welcomed her to the Inquisitorius before he began to duel Iskat. She finally tapped into the hidden wellspring of rage that had been lurking inside her, but the Grand Inquisitor was monumentally more powerful. The Grand Inquisitor broke one of her lightsabers and told her of the Jedi’s destruction and Order 66 before accepting her into the ranks.
As Iskat joined the Inquisitors, she realized that there were several other fallen Jedi like her that had sworn fealty to the Empire in search of power. The first mission assigned to her was meeting Gamodar, an elderly Ortolan who had worked with Sember. Her new master accompanied her. Gamodar praised her for not betraying the Jedi and agreed to cooperate. He walked down to his safe in the basement before betraying them with his droid Lump. Slightly peeved, the Grand Inquisitor ordered her to kill him and take the relics or share his fate. Easily slicing through the vault with her lightsaber, Iskat killed Gamodar and collected the Jedi relics and valuable trinkets.
On their return to the Inquisitorious Headquarters on Coruscant, she was officially oriented into the Inquisitorious and received her new uniform and a new red lightsaber. After she exited, Palpatine, now officially revealing himself as the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, began a conversation with her about the weakness of the Jedi and her place in the Empire. Sidious walked her to a hidden area of the Headquarters and revealed how Heezo had informed him of her disloyalty. The Fifth Brother gave her a tour of the library and curtly explained how the organization functioned. Finding the Sith text from Ringo Vinda, she asked for a protocol droid to translate the tome, but it was ultimately just incomplete ramblings on how to select an apprentice.
Days later, she asked the Grand Inquisitor if she would be allowed on personal mission to which he permitted and gave her a shuttle and company of Purge Troopers. Iskat then went to the fighting pit and dueled the Seventh Sister, realizing she had been trained by Aayla Secura. However, the Seventh Sister was much more experienced and held her blade to Iskat’s throat, but the Pkori used the Force to crush her fingers as the Grand Inquisitor called off the fight. The next night, Iskat was ambushed in her sleep by her and was severely injured in the medbay for weeks. A few days later, as she was stumbling through the halls, Iskat found and murdered Heezo for revealing information to her masters.
Late, she once again sparred with an Inquistor, this time the Fifth Brother as the Seventh Sister and Ninth Sister watched. The fight was interrupted by Darth Vader, who ordered Iskat to attack him. She threw the Fifth Brother at Vader with telekinesis and attempted to attack him with her lightsaber and a vibroknife, but Vader repelled the attack, broke the bones in her hand, and cut off her hair. Realizing that he was reliant on the machine, Iskat used the Force to pull out several wires in his helmet, forcing him to flee from the room, though he telekinetically threw Iskat into a wall after he left. She wondered how many Inquisitors had lost limbs like the Sixth Brother or had simply been killed by Vader.
She eventually requisitioned a shuttle to visit Pkori. The trip took days and required several different jumps to make it to the isolated planet. The planet has only one massive settlement on a single continent, and Iskat had to park her ship in a valley outside. Ordering her droid to be polite and translate for her, she felt a deep hunger as she heard the native language. A shepherd herded his cochukka sheep and asked how she couldn’t speak the language. Iskat told him of how she had been taken at a young age and asked if he knew someone called Feyra.
She visited a librarian, who told her of the practice of recording family lineages and that Feyra had been her mother. The librarian gave her directions towards her matriarch’s house, and Iskat noticed the simplicity and beauty of the planet. The matriarch introduced herself as Beamala, her grandmother, and embraced her at the door. Her Aunt, Ellamak, told her of how Deyra had left to join the Jedi but had lost all of her skills when she returned. Beamala continued the story of how Feyra turned to drinking and smoking as she became depressed but switched her life around when Iskat was born. Iskat also was born Force sensitive, and so she was given up to Sember.
Her grandmother offered to take Iskat in, but she refused, knowing the other Inquisitors would hunt her down for deserting and probably kill everyone there. It was one of the hardest choices she had ever made, but she had no choice. She also visited Takodana to meet with a trader called Morgest, grabbing a blue lightsaber from him. When she returned to the Grand Inquisitor, he heard her report on Pkori and took the saber. Iskat once again settled into a routine of training when she found Tualon one day. He explained how he had been tortured into becoming an Inquisitor. She challenges Tualon to a duel. After it ended, she realized she still held feelings for him, maybe more than as a Jedi before he stabbed her in the chest and claimed they were even.
She once again woke up in bacta and felt a rush of hatred towards him. However, she did realize that they were probably even now since they had both betrayed each other. Iskat was summoned to the Grand Inquisitor’s chamber for a mission to Firrhana. She took a full company of Purge troopers on the Scythe to eradicate the two Jedi there. Tualon had also been assigned there, and she flirted with him about catching his prey.
She marched with her troopers to an ancient Sith stronghold, sensing life inside. A protocol droid walked out and announced that this was the headquarters of a bounty hunter that pursued Jedi. Iskat swapped armor with a Purge Trooper and had him pretend to be her captive. The droid took them deep inside the citadel, and Iskat left the trooper to shoot anyone who journeyed inside that room. She managed to discover Charlin in a cell. She chastised the prisoner for her hypocrisy and bullying at the Temple before Force choking her to death.
She killed another Zeltron Jedi she didn’t know and searched for Master Klefan. Iskat found him struggling to open a chest with the three lightsabers and Sith artifacts inside. Iskat was disgusted at him finding his saber before attempting to free the others. She argued with him, and he berated her for her insolence. Klefan finally filled in what happened to Feyra: she had gone out into the deserts of Pkori and had killed herself. Enraged, Iskat choked him with the Force before he threw her back. The two began to fight as Klefan used forms she had never seen. However, Iskat was healthy and fresh, while he was emaciated. Using her second lightsaber, Iskat managed to disarm the Jedi Master by hitting him on the shoulder. She then decapitated him as he said there was still good in her. After his death, Jakadis, the bounty hunter warlord, offered her a job and freedom. As he monologued, Iskat threw her saber and beheaded him as well. She sat on the throne, reveling in the power as she drank wine from a chalice. Iskat gathered the items in a sack and returned to Coruscant.
Years after Order 66, she accompanied Darth Vader, Fifth Brother and Tualon Yaluna to hunt former Jedi Master Eeth Koth, who was removed from the Jedi High Council prior to Order 66, on a desert planet. Vader confronted Koth shortly after his wife Mira had given birth to their baby, and Koth pleaded to be spared as he was now only a priest for the Church of the Ganthic Enlightenment, even offering Jedi codes and information. After Koth was unable to persuade Vader, he told Mira and the newborn baby to escape as he attacked and dueled Vader. During the lightsaber duel, Vader instructed the three Inquisitors to recover the baby for induction into Project Harvester.
Akaris, Fifth Brother, and Yaluna gave chase, and decided to split up as they could cover more ground. Searching alone, she used the Force to sense the baby's presence and therefore locate her. As Mira was about to board her father's shuttle, Akaris stopped her. Mira pleaded with her, hoping to create a relation as they were both women, and eventually the Inquisitor decided to let Mira and the child onboard the shuttle.
As the other Inquisitors arrived and questioned why she let the baby go, Akaris replied that she hadn't, and used the Force to capture the baby. Iskat then said that she had allowed Mira initially to escape, so that Mira would suffer and no longer have trust in others. She and the others returned to Vader with the baby as Vader continued to duel Koth, and informed Vader that the baby had been successfully recovered. Koth, now distracted, was impaled in the back and killed, and Vader and the others departed the planet in their Zeta-class shuttle.
Vader and the Inquisitors returned to the Inquisitorius Headquarters and gave Koth's child to the nursemaids. The Grand Inquisitor approached Vader and departed to the tower's conference room, while Akaris and the others eventually went to a bar in the tower to celebrate the success of their mission. As part of the celebration, she and Yaluna sat down and drank dust juice, a local beverage of Koth's planet, which they both found unpleasant to drink. During their conversation, Akaris and Yaluna speculated what Vader would do when all of the Jedi were exterminated. While conversing on the subject, Vader interrupted and ignited his lightsaber.
Upon witnessing Vader's action against the two Inquisitors, the Grand Inquisitor asked his master if what he was doing was a test or an indication of more training, to which Vader coldly denied. Seeing Vader's blade, Akaris was ordered by her fellow Inquisitor to run as he contained Vader, who attempted to kill the duo upon sensing their camaraderie connection, a weakness her fellow believed strength, expressing that Koth's death should have served as a lesson about attachments. Though offering Yaluna to remain in the Inquisitorius, her partner chose to follow her and became rogue. Politely declining the help of the Grand Inquisitor and the other Inquisitorius, Vader started to chase the two Inquisitors.
Seeing her fellow Inquisitor running with her, Akaris replied to her partner that Vader needed no reasons to kill people as he just killed them when Yaluna asked her why Vader attacked them. She then told him that she couldn't believe that he got in Vader's way to save her, leading Yaluna to respond that he had told her how he felt, guessing that he had proved it to the Dark Lord of the Sith, leading the Inquisitor to respond that it had been a stupid idea as Vader would now come to take them out. With not other options, the two Inquisitors resolved to murder Vader and then escape from the Empire. Meanwhile, Vader and two Imperial shock troopers followed them aboard an EasyRide passenger airspeeder. The Inquisitors managed to destroy the airspeeder, leading Vader to jump to another to then fall from it as the Inquisitors' blades destroyed it into another airspeeder.
Aboard another airspeeder accompanied by a droid, she was told by her fellow Inquisitor that Vader was still coming for them, promising him to kill Vader together. The Sith Lord launched an airspeeder at them, but missed. The Inquisitors then performed the same attack and succeeded, knocking Vader into a building just as he jumped from his vehicle to kill them. Jumping into the building to kill their former master, Akaris verified that Vader was still alive as her partner expressed his surprise that both of them had actually managed to beat the Emperor's enforcer. She then took her lightsaber to kill Vader, assuring her former master that she knew just one thing about him after all their work together: that he deserved death. However, Vader used the Force to freeze the Inquisitors in place. In their final moments, the two expressed regret, before Vader used the Force to impale each with the other's lightsaber, killing them both.
After the chase, Vader reported the actions of the two Inquisitors to the Emperor in the Imperial Palace. Palpatine asked him about evidence of Akaris' treachery, to which Vader told his Sith Master that the Inquisitor had been reported by Fifth Brother as allowing Mira and her daughter to escape and just took the baby once she realized that she was being spotted, to which Vader commented that he always had suspicions of her, assuring his master that she ensnared Yaluna as part of her "plan" to build a coalition against them. The Emperor, however, was furious with Vader, as during the chase, much damage was done and one of the airspeeders crushed Senator Maklooq of the Imperial Senate, leading to a delay in the Emperor's plans and causing him to relocate the Inquisitorius headquarters off-world, to the Fortress Inquisitorius on the moon Nur.
A female individual, Iskat Akaris had red skin, blue eyes and brown hair. She was manipulative and cruel, as she appeared to allow Mira and her child to escape only to capture the child as Mira was departing, believing that Mira would no longer trust others. She was also curious of what drove Vader and what objectives he would set for the Inquisitorius after the eradication of all the Jedi. When he began hunting her, Akaris decided that her sole objective was to kill Vader, so she could be free.
Iskat Akaris was able to use the Force to detect ripples and locate an individual, and was also able to use move objects as large as airspeeders with the Force from a considerable distance. She could influence people through a mind trick, but was not particularly skilled at the technique. As a Pkorian, Akaris also possessed senses keener than most humanoids, particularly hearing. Her long fingers and sharp nails made her good at climbing.
Throughout her life, Iskat Akaris wielded four different lightsabers, all constructed to fit the long fingers characteristic of her species. The hilt of her original saber she constructed from polished burgundy wood, placing a Firaxan shark tooth at one end. She later built another lightsaber in order to learn Jar'Kai. The blades of both were colored green.
After she acquired her mother's yellow-bladed lightsaber, Iskat used the weapon on a number of occasions.
After joining the Inquisitorius, Akaris wore the traditional gray and black color scheme of the Inquisitors alongside a helmet with white markings and a red visor. She also received the double-bladed spinning lightsaber characteristically used by Inquisitors.
Iskat Akaris first appeared in the nineteenth issue of the 2017 comic series Star Wars: Darth Vader, written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Giuseppe Camuncoli, and published by Marvel Comics on August 8, 2018. She was first identified in a StarWars.com post detailing the highlights from a New York Comic-Con panel where the novel Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade by Delilah S. Dawson, starring Akaris, was announced on October 9, 2022.
