During the early stages of the Galactic Empire's reign, the Inquisitorius, a special unit of Jedi hunters led by the Sith Lord Darth Vader, utilized a Zeta-class shuttle, the Infernum, during a mission to Mon Cala to hunt a probable Jedi advisor, revealed to be the former Padawan Ferren Barr, to the King of Mon Cala. The shuttle was later destroyed when Mon Calamari King Lee-Char ordered the destruction of all the surface cities on Mon Cala, including Dac City.
Years later, Vader, along with the Inquisitors Fifth Brother, Thirteenth Sister, and Tualon Yaluna, used a Zeta-class shuttle to return to Coruscant after hunting down and killing former Jedi Master Eeth Koth.
