Uaua was a planet-like celestial body situated within sector U-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid, a region belonging to both the Outer Rim Territories and the Slice. Around 3 ABY, Bossk'wassak'Cradossk, a Trandoshan bounty hunter, aided a Quor'sav narcotics operative on Uaua. Not long after the Battle of Hoth, Bossk infiltrated the Wookiee gunship named Liswarr, where he encountered his sister, Doshanalawook. The hunter observed that the projector console used by his sister displayed an extensive personal record of his life, referencing his activities on Uaua.
Uaua's introduction into current Star Wars canon occurred through the 2020 short story "Tooth and Claw," penned by Michael Kogge. This story was included in the anthology titled From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Uaua debuted in the Wizards of the Coast roleplaying game source article "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality." Kogge also authored this article, which appeared in the fifth issue of Star Wars Gamer magazine on July 24, 2001. The article established Uaua as the original homeworld of the Quor'sav species.
The reference book The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, released in 2008, later revealed that Waywa Fybot, a character featured in the 1993 novel Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, was actually a Quor'sav. Since Fybot visits his home planet in a dream within the novel, Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon became the first appearance of the planet in Legends through retroactive means.
