A male Muun served as an ambassador during the Great Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Around 3663 BBY, the ambassador was targeted by the GenoHaradan, a secret society of assassins, and the Republic Strategic Information Service—the Republic's intelligence agency—was unable to effectively protect the official because they were compromised. As a result, the SIS enlisted the aid of the astromech droid T7-O1, the droid partner of Jedi Master Ven Zallow, and the droid was assigned to protect the ambassador. Upon detecting the GenoHaradan assassin in a crowd, T7-O1 discharged a stun bolt that caused the assassin to flee, and the Muun official decided to resign from his post for fear of further attempts. Twenty years later, T7-O1 investigated the man's fate and learned that the former ambassador lived a long and healthy life thanks to the droid's efforts.
The Muun ambassador was first mentioned in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game released by BioWare and LucasArts in 2011, during the conversation "The Assassination" with the Jedi Knight class companion character T7-O1.
