Zinny

Zinny, a Twi'lek female, plied her trade as a bounty hunter amidst the Cold War period. This conflict raged between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. During this era, she collaborated with a Human named Xenteel on the planet of Nal Hutta. Operating from Jiguuna, an industrial town, the duo offered resources and instruction to fellow bounty hunters, maintaining a booth within the town's bustling marketplace. During their time on Hutta, Xenteel sent a bounty hunter who wanted to participate in the Great Hunt to Zinny for lessons. Zinny imparted numerous techniques to the hunter.

Biography

During the Cold War era, specifically between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, lived Zinny, a Twi'lek female. By 3643 BBY of the year, she had established herself as a bounty hunter, developing enough skill to mentor others in the profession. Zinny partnered with Xenteel, a Human, and together they launched a business, leveraging their expertise to train and equip aspiring bounty hunters. On the planet Nal Hutta, the adopted homeworld of the Hutt species, Zinny and her partner established a stall for their business, along with a testing area for weapons. This stall was located in the market sector of Jiguuna, an industrial town under the control of Suudaa Nem'ro, a Hutt crime lord. While stationed at her stall, Zinny often watched holograms of various individuals using a small device capable of projecting a life size hologram of the humans on to the ground in front of the bounty hunter. The individuals spoke during the duration of the projection, although Zinny did not reply to them.

In the same year, Xenteel directed a bounty hunter toward Zinny. Her partner had identified the individual as an associate of Braden, another bounty hunter, within the Poison Pit cantina. The hunter, aspiring to participate in the Great Hunt, a galactic bounty hunting competition, received instruction in various bounty hunting skills and techniques from Zinny in exchange for a small payment.

Personality and traits

During the Cold War, Zinny was regarded as a seasoned bounty hunter. Her knowledge of tactics, weaponry, and maneuvers was sufficient to instruct others in the profession. She charged credits for her lessons, often asserting that her teachings would significantly enhance their success. Zinny had green skin and brown eyes.

Equipment

While tending to her stall, Zinny was typically seen wearing grey armor paired with a brown headpiece. Her equipment included a device capable of projecting a green holographic screen on her right wrist, and a wrist-mounted flamethrower on her left wrist, which she sometimes tested. A blaster pistol was holstered on her belt, and she kept a blaster rifle and a toolkit at the stall. Furthermore, the Twi'lek possessed a floating device capable of projecting a holographic image of a life size Human.

Behind the scenes

Zinny's debut occurred in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game developed by BioWare and launched in 2011. Within the game, Zinny is situated on Nal Hutta, the initial planet for players choosing the bounty hunter and Imperial Agent classes. Her role involves serving as a class trainer for bounty hunter players, imparting new skills that become available based on the player's level. She is also a part of the "Tools of the Trade" quest, where bounty hunters are guided to Zinny to acquire their initial class skills. Although not explicitly named, the Star Wars: The Old Republic Explorer's Guide, published concurrently with the game, identifies Zinny's location as a class trainer in Jiguuna on the Nal Hutta map.
