Aeosians were a sapient race indigenous to the Outer Rim Territories world of Aeos Prime. A single tribe of these beings was under the leadership of an Aeosian monarch. During the events of the First Order-Resistance Conflict, individuals from the Colossus Platform such as Kazuda Xiono and Griff Halloran engaged in discourse with their leader.
The Aeosians were a species that walked on two legs, characterized by elongated appendages and webbed structures on their hands and feet. Their facial features included flat faces, large eyes positioned forward, and somewhat human-like noses and lips. Notably, they possessed four small protrusions on their chins. Aeosians exhibited smooth skin, displaying a range of blue and green hues. A distinctive dorsal fin extended from the top of their forehead to the base of their skull, accompanied by fins curving along their cheekbones. Additional fins were present on the backs of their calves, the outer sides of their feet, and their necks.
Aeosians displayed sexual dimorphism, with males exhibiting broader skulls, necks, and shoulders compared to the more slender physique of females.
Despite the primitive appearance of their planet, one group of Aeosians, at least, had access to relatively advanced technology.
The tribe utilized vibro-edged spears capable of activation, resulting in electrical arcs around the blade. When activated, these spears could disable an antiquated B2-series super battle droid and deflect blaster fire. Above the primary blade, these spears featured a secondary point, the tip of which emitted a blue glow upon activation. These spears were adorned with gold material, primarily concentrated around the junction between the staff and spearhead. The tribe's queen employed a specialized version of this weapon, featuring more extensive gold ornamentation and two points extending from the side edges of the main blade, giving it a trident-like appearance.
The Aeosian tribe also utilized energy barriers for the purpose of detaining prisoners.
The Aeosians made their debut in the Star Wars Resistance episode titled "The New World."
