Alora, a Dark Jedi of the Lethan Twi'lek species and female, operated in the early days of the New Jedi Order. She served as an apprentice to Tavion Axmis, the leader of the Disciples of Ragnos cult, which Alora was a member of. Alora's mission was to infiltrate the Jedi Praxeum located on the moon of Yavin 4; her objective was to steal a list detailing the locations of significant Force nexuses to aid the Disciples of Ragnos in their plan to resurrect the ancient Sith Lord Marka Ragnos.
Following her assignment to the planet Hoth for intelligence gathering, Alora crossed paths with Jedi Initiate Jaden Korr inside Echo Base, the former base of the Rebel Alliance. They engaged in a duel, which resulted in the Dark Jedi's defeat and subsequent retreat. She then traveled to Taspir III, where she encountered Korr once more and was ultimately killed by him.

Alora, a Lethan Twi'lek, belonged to the Disciples of Ragnos, a Sith cult devoted to the ancient Sith Lord Marka Ragnos. Around 14 ABY, she was training under the cult's leader, Tavion Axmis, as they sought to resurrect Ragnos using the powerful dark artifact known as the Scepter of Ragnos. As Axmis' most valued apprentice, Alora's mission was to infiltrate Jedi Master Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy on the moon of Yavin 4. There, she gained access to the Jedi mainframes and stole a list of locations strong with the Force. Axmis planned to use these locations to resurrect Ragnos by channeling Force energies into the Scepter.
With support from the Imperial Remnant, allies of Axmis, Alora travelled to the planet Hoth to find out more about the Force energies present there. While searching Echo Base, a former Rebel Alliance hideout from the Galactic Civil War, a Sith cultist determined that Skywalker had gone to Dagobah after the Battle of Hoth based on flight data. Before being killed by Jedi Initiate Jaden Korr, who was investigating the locations from Skywalker's records, the cultist downloaded and transmitted the flight information to Alora. Alora passed this information on to Axmis, who praised her apprentice and instructed her to meet on Dagobah. Korr located Alora in a hangar within the base. Alora engaged Korr in a duel, but fled when she realized she was outmatched, taunting Korr as she left and promising another encounter.
After her defeat on Hoth, Alora trained intensely and acquired a second lightsaber. Her next encountered with Korr occurred on Taspir III, where Korr and his Master Kyle Katarn were searching for Katarn's other apprentice, Rosh Penin. Penin had rejected the dark side and was being held captive in the Disciples' large facility, where Alora was ensuring his confinement. Alora was surprised by Korr's arrival and taunted him from various ledges and balconies as she led him through the facility to the hangar where Penin was being held. Korr confronted Penin about his betrayal, and Alora, sensing his anger, urged Korr to strike Penin down and join her and Axmis on the dark side. When Korr overcame his anger with Katarn's telepathic help, Alora realized he would not turn. Enraged, she cut off Penin's arm with her lightsaber. She then attacked Korr, resulting in her death.
Alora was easily angered and excessively confident, traits encouraged by her Master. Her overconfidence was evident in her first encounter with Korr on Hoth, where she remarked that Skywalker was sending "children" after the Disciples of Ragnos. During their second encounter on Taspir III, she boasted about what she had learned from Axmis and called Korr a "sanctimonious fool." However, her overconfidence led to her downfall and death. Her quick temper was also evident in her rage when she failed to turn Korr to the dark side, leading her to slice off Penin's arm.

Alora was a quick learner, mastering everything her Master taught her. Her flexibility, agility, and feminine nature were reflected in her acrobatic and graceful lightsaber techniques. Specializing in lightsaber combat, she wielded a red-bladed Adept lightsaber and used the Fast style of the New Jedi Order. After her duel with Korr on Hoth, she began using a second red-bladed Adept lightsaber, becoming highly skilled in the Jar'Kai combat style. Alora was also proficient in Force Jump, Force speed, and telekinesis. Although she rarely used dark side Force powers, she demonstrated skill in Force lightning and Force rage.

Alora made her debut in the 2003 Star Wars Legends video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, voiced by Grey DeLisle. In the game, Alora has a unique animation for Force Jump, performing a forward cartwheel, while other characters perform a somersault. She also has a unique saber throw, throwing both lightsabers simultaneously, and a different taunt animation, briefly levitating and spinning her blades. In the non-canon dark side path of Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Alora praises Korr for killing Penin. However, she still duels Korr, believing the Scepter should belong to her.
A second Alora model and skin exist within the game files for use in multiplayer, but the code for her alternate appearance is commented out, and her primary attire is reused when Korr meets Alora on Taspir III. The reason for this is not explained in the code, but it can be easily changed with a third-party modification.
