Alpha-44 represented an Imperial Rho-class transport shuttle model. The Clone Underground's Echo, who was also a part of the renegade clone commando squad the Bad Batch, hijacked it circa 18 BBY. He piloted the shuttle to the cloning facilities located on the planet Bora Vio, where he met up with the rest of the Bad Batch. Together, they journeyed with their captive, the one-time Imperial Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart, to Imperial Station 003 orbiting Coruscant. The shuttle was eventually downed by V-wing starfighters upon reaching the planet Wayland; however, the Bad Batch had already exited into the forest that encircled Tantiss Base.
