Amadeo Azzazzo's lightsaber, powered by a kyber crystal, was a light green blade wielded by the Jedi Padawan. In 230 BBY, Azzazzo found himself chasing the miner Lor Botho on the planet Mikkia amidst a devastating groundquake. Botho was exploiting the vulnerable native Mikkians. During a confrontation aboard a starship, Botho deployed poison smoke, forcing Azzazzo to hold his breath. To trick the miner, Azzazzo switched off his lightsaber and feigned unconsciousness. When Botho approached to eliminate him, the Jedi sprang into action, deflected blaster fire, and seized Botho's respirator. Subsequently, on Coruscant, Azzazzo displayed his weapon to his newfound companions at the request of the human named Sym.
"The Call of Coruscant," a short story by Lydia Kang, featured Amadeo Azzazzo's lightsaber. This story was included in the 2023 anthology The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life.
