Ancient Quarter

The Ancient Quarter represented a zone dedicated to historical preservation in the Gungan capital city of Otoh Gunga, situated on the planet of Naboo. This area encompassed the original foundations that were established by Boss [Gallo]. These foundations were built over the remains of Spearhead, an ancient [fortress](/article/fortress] city. Spearhead had once been the domain of the warlord Boss Rogoe, who was defeated by Gallo at the conclusion of a conflict between warring Gungan tribes millennia prior to the Imperial Era.

Within the Ancient Quarter existed time-honored buildings and machinery, which were diligently maintained by a small group of dedicated volunteer preservationists. Every structure, street, platform, and support membrane held historical significance for the Gungans, thus establishing it as a popular destination for Gungan tourists from across Naboo. Housing within the Ancient Quarter was among the most prestigious and costly in Otoh Gunga, with numerous families residing in homes constructed by their ancestors in prior centuries. Conflicts would arise between the long-time residents and both newer inhabitants and visiting Gungans from more distant locales.
