Annali Bissa, a child from Corellia who possessed Force-sensitivity, had her name recorded in a memory crystal subsequent to Order 66. Following a lightsaber duel within the Jedi Temple, Darth Vader captured Jedi Chief Librarian Jocasta Nu; afterwards, Imperial shock troopers serving the Galactic Empire searched Nu and discovered this memory crystal. After Vader's analysis of the crystal, he found it contained a list of Force-sensitive children, previously targeted by the Jedi Order, including Bissa.
Jocasta was aware that Galactic Emperor Palpatine, secretly Darth Sidious, who was Vader's Sith Master, sought this list. He had even pursued it during his time as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, as Nu suspected, to train additional Sith warriors. Following Nu's revelation of his former identity as Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, Vader killed all the shock troopers. He then killed Nu, reporting to his master that she died attempting to escape. When Palpatine inquired if Vader had obtained any information from Nu, Vader claimed to have learned nothing.
The name of Annali Bissa, written in Aurebesh, was initially referenced in the canon comic Darth Vader (2017) 10 from 2018, authored by Charles Soule and illustrated by Giuseppe Camuncoli.
