Bajjo

A human artist known as Bajjo, active during the Republic Era, originated from the moon of the Inner Rim planet Pijal. She belonged to the Opposition, a Pijali political performance group under the leadership of Halin Azucca. In 40 BBY, the Opposition voiced their protest against the Governance Treaty due to its support for the Czerka Corporation, leading to their false implication in violent attacks targeting Czerka facilities. While hidden on Pijal's moon, Azucca informed the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi about the framing, and another Opposition member supported her statement by referencing Bajjo's and other members' harmless artistic backgrounds as evidence of their innocence.

Biography

An Opposition member told Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn (pictured) about Bajjo while on Pijal's moon.

Bajjo, a human, was a native of the moon orbiting the Inner Rim planet Pijal. As a performing artist during the Republic Era, she became part of the Opposition, a political performance ensemble composed of Pijali individuals and guided by Halin Azucca. For a period, the group presented theatrical shows on Pijal, expressing their views on local concerns and educating the public. During these presentations, Bajjo used her eye-lenses to generate abstract holograms. By 40 BBY, the Opposition started to object to the Governance Treaty, fearing that the agreement would grant excessive power to the Czerka Corporation, which had been exploiting Pijal's and its moon's resources for ages.

In that year, soon after expressing their disapproval of the treaty, the Pijali monarchy falsely accused the troupe of orchestrating several violent attacks against Czerka facilities, forcing them to seek refuge on Pijal's moon. When Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, journeyed to Pijal's moon, they were assaulted by a clandestine unit of Pijali royal guards known as blackguards. Opposition members rescued them, and Azucca clarified to the Jedi that their troupe had been wrongly blamed for the recent attacks. Another Opposition member confirmed Azucca's statement by pointing to Bajjo's and other members' harmless backgrounds as artists as proof of their innocence.

Personality and traits

As a performing artist within the Opposition, Bajjo found joy in participating in her troupe's performances to communicate political opinions. She demonstrated against the signing of the Governance Treaty, but never wanted to use violence. One of Bajjo's colleagues mentioned that her previous role as an artist was harmless.

Equipment

While working in shows, Bajjo had eye lenses that she used to produce abstract holograms.
