A clash unfolded within the Remitik system when forces of the New Republic launched an assault upon the Imperial munitions depot stationed there. The Imperial II_-class Star Destroyer, known as the Overseer, was a component of the defending forces. During this engagement, the Overseer pilfered baradium from the depot itself, after their request for the materials was turned down.

Subsequent to an engagement at the Zavian Abyss, referred to as the battle, the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Overseer sustained significant damage. This damage was a result of the New Republic's Starhawk prototype employing its powerful tractor beam to seize the Star Destroyer and forcefully draw it into a field of electrified asteroids. Captain Terisa Kerrill was compelled to initiate a jump to lightspeed to avert the complete annihilation of her vessel. The Overseer emerged from hyperspace within the Remitik system, facing an urgent need for repairs and resupply. After reaching out to an Imperial munitions depot nearby and demanding resources to continue the pursuit of Project Starhawk, the commanding officer, Colonel Gralm, rejected the request. He cited the Emperor's assignment of him to the depot, granting him authority over its resource allocation, including those now required by the Overseer. Kerrill retorted, asserting that the Overseer was dispatched on this mission under the direct orders of Admiral Rae Sloane. Given Sloane's absence and Gralm's preoccupation with suppressing rebel guerrillas, Kerrill emphasized the necessity of her forces. Embittered by the situation, Kerrill devised a strategy for Titan Squadron to patrol the depot and scan vessels for any obtainable munitions. Under the cover of a rebel assault on the depot, the ships would be remotely piloted back to the Overseer, after which Kerrill's forces would depart.
Titan Squadron was deployed from the Overseer, which was in orbit near the depot, and began their patrol. Titan Three initiated scans of freighters and shuttles. Two Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttles were found to contain baradium, a substance deemed ideal for their planned assault on the Starhawk. LT-514 verified that he had remote control access to the shuttles. Soon after, rebel ships appeared and initiated bombing runs on the three depot towers. Titan Squadron responded by taking the required actions to defend the depot, taking out waves of BTL-A4 Y-wing assault starfighter/bombers carrying out bombing runs, and CR90 corvettes with RZ-1 A-wing interceptors and T-65B X-wing starfighters acting as escorts. As the battle intensified, an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft, and more starfighters arrived. At the opportune moment, LT-514 initiated the remote piloting of the baradium shuttles back to the Overseer, with Titan Squadron providing escort. Once the shuttles were inside the hangar, Kerrill gave the order for Titan to board and for the Overseer to jump to hyperspace.
Kerrill disregarded Gralm's complaints, satisfied that Titan Squadron had achieved its objective. They were now in possession of the munitions necessary to destroy the Starhawk, and they also had the location of the Nadiri Dockyards. Victory and the termination of Project Starhawk were now within her grasp.
