Between the years of 22 BBY and 19 BBY, a significant battle unfolded in the Ruusan system, situated within the Mid Rim. This conflict was part of the larger Clone Wars, pitting the forces of the Galactic Republic against those of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Republic forces deployed at least one Venator-class Star Destroyer and an Acclamator-class assault ship, alongside a minimum of two Low Altitude Assault Transports. Conversely, the Separatist forces included at least one Lucrehulk-class Battleship.
Years later, in 3 ABY, the Nautolan bounty hunter named Nakano Lash utilized debris from this very battle as camouflage for her ship. She was awaiting the arrival of her protégé, the cyborg bounty hunter Beilert Valance. As Valance approached Lash's ship on his own, he drew the attention of fellow bounty hunter T'onga to the wreckage, identifying it as remnants from a Clone Wars engagement.
The comic series Star Wars: Bounty Hunters (2020) referenced the Ruusan system battle in its fourth issue. Marvel Comics published this issue on August 19, 2020; Ethan Sacks wrote it, and Paolo Villanelli created the illustration of the battle wreckage.
