The battle on Mulita was a joint operation undertaken by the Jedi Order and the Hutt Clan during the High Republic Era. It was an offensive against the Drengir, sentient carnivorous plants native to Mulita, their homeworld situated in the Mulita system within the depths of Wild Space. Avar Kriss, a Jedi Master, spearheaded this assault, aimed at addressing the crisis caused by the Drengir's presence along the Galactic Frontier for a certain time. The Jedi received assistance from the Hutt Cartel, an alliance formed by Kriss to combat the Drengir threat.
Previously, Keeve Trennis, a Jedi Knight, had discovered the location of the Great Progenitor, the original Drengir, through a connection via the Force. Consequently, Kriss, aided by Master Estala Maru stationed at the Starlight Beacon space station who sent out requests to Jedi meeting Kriss' requirements, gathered as many Jedi as possible. Simultaneously, while Kriss and the assembled Jedi were engaged in the Mulita assault, the Nihil marauders launched an attack on the planet Valo during the Republic Fair. The Mulita assault was still in progress when the attack on Valo concluded.
