A man, a male person, served as the father to the human historian and Resistance operative, Beaumont Kin. In the year 34 ABY, during the First Order's blockade of the planet Kashyyyk, Kin confided in Daz Crano, a Nautolan Resistance pilot, that his parents, specifically his mother and father, had instilled in him a sense of worthlessness. This feeling, he said, led him to abandon a promising career as an educator and enlist in the Resistance's war against the First Order.
The comic story entitled "Ghosts of Kashyyyk, Part 1," which appeared in the twenty-seventh edition of the Star Wars Adventures comic book anthology series from 2017, featured a reference to Beaumont Kin's father. IDW Publishing released the comic, penned by John Barber, on October 30, 2019.
