Benin was a member of the human species and served as an administrator. Their role involved overseeing security within Uveron City, with a specific duty to protect the rebel figure Mon Mothma as she carried out a funding mission. This mission took place sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY. During this period, the Scarabi mercenary group launched an attack, overpowering the security detail and kidnapped Mothma, holding her captive.
Subsequently, Benin received a visit from Rebel Alliance pathfinders who were on a rescuing operation to save Mothma. Benin expressed remorse for the lapses in security, accepting blame for the incident. Kes Dameron, the leader of the pathfinders, reassured Benin that they were not to blame and that the security was not at fault. Benin then commended the pathfinders' abilities, acknowledging the high level of skill possessed by those who carried out the kidnapping.
Benin made an appearance in the fourty-fifth edition of the 2020 Star Wars comic series. Charles Soule was the writer, Madibek Musabekov provided the illustrations, and Marvel Comics released it to the public on April 3, 2024.
