The individual known as the Beta Trawler was a human male trawler who lived during the New Republic era. In 9 ABY, he was present with another human and a Quarren. At Ferryman's Reach, a settlement located on the ice planet Pagodon, he observed his two comrades intimidating a Mythrol inside a public house. Throughout the entire interaction, he remained silent, allowing his companions to issue the threats.
During this same event, a Mandalorian bounty hunter by the name of Din Djarin arrived with the intention of collecting a bounty on the Mythrol. The human, together with his two associates, then threatened Djarin. The bartender then pushed a drink in their direction, but Djarin seized it and shattered it against the human's head, rendering him unconscious. Following this, he proceeded to subdue the other human and eliminate the Quarren.
This particular human had fair skin, blue eyes, and a dark brown beard, in addition to a cybernetic left arm. His attire consisted of a coat worn over dark-colored shirt and pants, completed with a knit cap worn on his head.
The character of the Beta Trawler made his debut appearance in the first episode of the 2019 Disney+ television program The Mandalorian, which was originally broadcast on November 12, 2019. Credited as "Beta Trawler," he was played by Ryan Watson, who also worked on the show as a stunt coordinator.
