Cantham House

Cantham House, located on Coruscant, served as the personal residence of Bail Organa. This penthouse suite, separate from the rest of the building, featured several bedrooms, a large common area, and a curved balcony offering expansive views of the cityscape. It was considered relatively understated compared to the residences of other senators or members of royalty. Large glass panels, etched with scenes of Alderaanian mountains, protected the roof of Cantham House from strong winds.

During a party hosted by Organa on the roof of Cantham House in 22 BBY, Sabé, disguised as a handmaiden, observed Alderaanian plants and art pieces incorporating wind or water. She remarked that it must have been very expensive, but Alderaan had been a long time member of the Galactic Republic.

Near the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Organa, along with fellow senators Mon Mothma and Padmé Amidala, convened meetings at Cantham House. These discussions centered around the Petition of 2,000, a list of demands from the Delegation of 2,000, a group of representatives concerned about the state of democracy in the Galactic Republic, including Sheev Palpatine's return of emergency wartime powers as Supreme Chancellor. However, Palpatine refused to relinquish his authority when the war concluded and instead proclaimed himself Emperor of the Galactic Empire, replacing the Republic.

In 3 BBY, when Organa's adopted daughter, Leia Organa, joined the Apprentice Legislature, she resided at Cantham House instead of the dormitories used by her fellow Apprentice Legislators.

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, after Mothma publicly denounced Palpatine for his actions during the Ghorman Massacre, the Imperial Security Bureau visited Cantham House to question Leia Organa and others, due to the Bureau's suspicions of them.
