Canto Casino and Racetrack
The Canto Casino, officially the Canto Casino and Racetrack, was a large establishment situated in Canto Bight on the planet Cantonica, found within the Outer Rim Territories. This complex contained the Crescent Royale Casino, along with other gambling establishments, a racetrack, a lavish hotel, a retail shopping area, and twenty-two different restaurants.
History
During the events of 34 ABY, Finn, Rose Tico, and BB-8 journeyed to the Canto Casino in Canto Bight while trying to locate Maz Kanata's associate, the Master Codebreaker, as part of their mission to aid the Resistance in evading the First Order. The casino was positioned close to the Canto Bight racetrack, and there they observed a fathier race. The Canto Bight Police Department used stun blasts to subdue them, leading to their detention at the Canto Bight police headquarters. However, with assistance from DJ and BB-8, Finn and Rose successfully broke out of jail and made their way to the racetrack.
Upon arriving at the racetrack, Finn and Tico sought refuge from the police and began formulating a plan to leave the city. They ultimately decided to make their escape using a fathier. Temiri Blagg, a stable boy responsible for the fathiers at the racetrack, briefly contemplated alerting the racetrack's security, but Finn and Rose managed to convince him and his companions that they were affiliated with the Resistance, gifting the boy Tico's Resistance ring. Immediately after, Finn and Tico freed the fathiers and successfully fled Canto Bight.
