Charuk, a male human being, resided on the planet Golak. He had a younger sister, Rani, who exhibited sensitivity to the Force. Sometime in the period spanning from 19 BBY to 3 BBY, Charuk and Rani journeyed to the Golak Mahal where they encountered Rugal, a Jedi in hiding.
During the timeframe of 19 BBY to 3 BBY, Charuk made his home on the world of Golak alongside his younger sibling, Rani. At this time, Golak was under the dominion of the Galactic Empire, which compelled Charuk and his sister to escape their residence. After hearing their father speak of a place known as the Golak Mahal, Charuk and Rani boarded a train. While traveling on the train, Rani requested permission to play their father's flute, a request Charuk denied. Feeling a pang of hunger, Rani inquired of Charuk if she could partake in some Le'bi upon observing a vendor selling the treat within the train. Before Charuk could reach the vendor, Rani employed her Force power to retrieve her Dad's flute from Charuk, thereby revealing her Force-sensitivity in the process. While Charuk was in line to purchase Le'bi, a scavenger approached a Stormtrooper and informed him of a girl possessing special abilities. Eavesdropping on this exchange, Charuk pilfered some Le'bi to draw attention away from Rani, resulting in a pursuit by two Stormtroopers. Charuk successfully evaded the Stormtroopers by ascending to the roof of the train. Amidst this predicament, the train entered the Jangori settlements, prompting a call for reinforcements. The train then came under attack by Jangorian bandits. As the bandits assaulted the Imperial speeder bikes, Charuk endeavored to locate a hatch, eventually discovering one, though it was sealed. Before Charuk could be shot, Rani managed to open the seal allowing Charuk to re-enter the train before it passed a tunnel exiting the Jangori settlements.
Subsequently, Charuk and Rani successfully reached their stop and proceeded to the Golak Mahal. Upon arriving at the location, the pair were greeted by Rugal, who extended an invitation for them to dine there. Before Rani and Charuk could consume some Le'bi, an Inquisitor and two Purge Troopers clad in Phase I armor appeared. The Inquisitor then interrogated Charuk regarding reports of a Force-sensitive girl on Golak. In an attempt to taunt him the Inquisitor added that he went beyond the train tracks, burned all the farm villages, and left no survivors. Sensing that Rani was the Force-sensitive girl, the Inquisitor force pushed Charuk aside. He then attempted to capture Rani resulting in a frenzy where the patrons of the Golak Mahal started fighting one another. Before the Inquisitor could capture Rani, Rugal revealed herself as a Jedi to protect Rani and Charuk. She then dueled against the Inquisitor and killed him by slicing his throat. Following the Inquisitor's demise, Rugal guided Rani to a tunnel concealed within a body of water. As Rugal informed Charuk that Rani would be safer in her care, Charuk bid his final farewell to Rani before she entered the tunnel. After Rani entered the tunnel which closed immediately and became submerged in the body of water, Charuk's father's flute floated to the surface of the water. Charuk retained the flute as a memento of his sister.
