Climber (clone)

Climber was the chosen designation of a clone grown on Kamino from the genetic template of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. He was trained to serve the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Leading his squadmates Trace, Ras, and another commando, Climber participated in the Battle of Deko Neimoidia alongside Jedi Master Roan Shryne. Subsequently, the team engaged in combat at Boz Pity and the Battle of Murkhana, where Climber's life was spared when he used Shryne's blue lightsaber to fatally wound an attacking mercenary with a piercing blow to the chest.

When Commander Salvo attempted to execute Order 66 by ambushing and assassinating Shryne, Bol Chatak, and her Padawan Olee Starstone, Climber intervened. He deployed ECDs, creating a disorienting effect on Salvo and his forces. The commandos then disarmed them, enabling the Jedi to escape, which frustrated Salvo. Darth Vader himself arrived on Murkhana to enforce discipline. Vader reprimanded the team, accusing them of treason. However, Climber accepted responsibility for his team's actions, believing they were justified. Lord Vader rejected Climber's justification and ignited his lightsaber. Ion Team retreated and readied their weapons. As Vader advanced, the commandos opened fire. Ras and another commando were killed when Vader deflected their blaster bolts back into their helmets, and then bisected them from shoulder to hip. Climber and Trace fled into the nearby woods. Climber sustained a leg wound from one of his own deflected laser blasts. Vader dispatched his troops to pursue them, instructing them to capture them alive. Climber was eventually apprehended by Commander Appo's forces.
