The Corsair Wars represent an armed struggle within the galaxy, unfolding at an unspecified time before 19 BBY. Following this period of conflict, Jedi Master Oo'ob violated established Jedi principles. He then enlisted the aid of the crystallist Var-Whill for the purpose of constructing the Farkiller, which is a sniper rifle enhanced via the integration of lightsaber components.
Professor [Korin Aphra]'s "Notes on Jedi Heresies" contained references to the Corsair Wars. These notes detailed the motivations behind Oo'ob and Var-Whill's choices after the war. These same notes were subsequently shared with Aphra's offspring, Chelli, by the rebel protocol droid Teezee-Too, occurring before the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY.
The initial reference to the Corsair Wars appeared in Doctor Aphra (2016) 33, a comic authored by Simon Spurrier and brought to publication by Marvel Comics on June 19, 2019.
