Cova Nell

Cova Nell, a human female, distinguished herself as a pilot of both transports and starfighters within the Resistance's naval branch during their war against the forces of the First Order.

Biography

Cova Nell piloted the Resistance transport that delivered General Leia Organa to Takodana.

General Leia Organa and her team were transported to Takodana aboard a Resistance transport piloted by Cova Nell. Following the Battle of Takodana, after Poe Dameron's squadron successfully drove off the First Order troops who had briefly captured Han Solo, Chewbacca, Finn, and the droid BB-8, Nell landed her transport near the ruins of Takodana Castle.

During the evacuation of the MC85 Star Cruiser Raddus following the attack on the Resistance fleet by the First Order, Nell served as a co-pilot alongside Pammich Nerro Goode in one of the thirty U-55 orbital loadlifter craft. General Organa and Captain Poe Dameron were among the passengers on her vessel, which was among those that successfully reached the surface of the planet Crait. As they descended to the planet, General Organa offered them comfort, predicting that the pilots would soon grapple with survivor's guilt. On Crait, the Resistance mounted a last stand against the First Order within an old Rebel Alliance outpost, with the survivors eventually fleeing aboard the Millennium Falcon, a YT-1300 light freighter.

Personality and traits

Nell possessed light-toned skin and brown-colored eyes.

Equipment

She was equipped with a white helmet, a yellow flight suit constructed from flame-resistant materials, a white harness, and brown boots. Her pilot helmet featured an inscription in Aurebesh that read, "Hello nasty."

Behind the scenes

Daniela Tlumacova played Cova Nell in the motion picture Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, which premiered on December 15, 2017. Although the character was not named within the film itself, she was identified in Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary, a companion book penned by Pablo Hidalgo that was released alongside the film. The Aurebesh message "Hello nasty" on Nell's pilot helmet pays homage to the Beastie Boys album bearing the same title.
