Cracek, a language utilized by the Esral'sa'Nikto (a Nikto subspecies), featured a unique greeting. This traditional expression of friendship involved a shriek-like sound accompanied by the outward flaring of the speaker's head fins. During the events of 34 ABY, the Esral'sa'Nikto Oplock enthusiastically used this greeting when meeting three mechanics on the Colossus, a supertanker fuel depot. These mechanics were the Kadas'sa'Nikto Neeku Vozo and the humans Kazuda Xiono and Tamara Ryvora. Despite Xiono and Ryvora's initial fear, Vozo explained the meaning of the Cracek greeting to them.
The initial appearance of Cracek occurred in "The Platform Classic," which was the ninth episode in the first season of Star Wars Resistance, an animated television show. This episode was broadcast on November 25, 2018. Jonathan Lipow provided the voice for Oplock in this episode. The design of Oplock's facial fins was specifically intended to enhance his emotional expression while speaking Cracek through their outward flare. Christopher Sean, the voice actor for Kazuda Xiono, commended Lipow's vocal performance of the language's distinct sounds in the episode's audio commentary.
